#1: One Direction ‘Drag Me Down’ (debut) – British boy band One Direction pick up their first
ever #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Drag Me Down’. The single is the first released from
1D’s forthcoming fifth album is also their first release as a quartet, following the departure of
Zayn Malik from the group in March. One Direction’s previous best on the Singles Chart was
with ‘Live While We're Young’ (#2 Oct. ’12). #2: Adam Lambert ‘Ghost Town’ – With a jump of 14 spots in its eleventh week in the top 50,
Adam Lambert’s ‘Ghost Town’ gives the American singer-songwriter his highest ever peak on
the ARIA Singles Chart. In the country during the week for a promo tour, Lambert previously
peaked at #4 with both ‘Whataya Want From Me’ (Apr. ’10) and ‘If I Had You’ (Jul. ’10). #14: Vance Joy ‘Fire And Flood’ – In its second week in the top 50, ‘Fire And Blood’ moves up
seven spots. It becomes Vance Joy’s second-highest charting single on the ARIA Charts, taking
over from ‘Georgia’ (#15 Apr. ’15). His best was with ‘Riptide’ (#6 Feb. ’14). #31: Disclosure Feat Sam Smith ‘Omen’ (debut) – After peaking together at #47 in 2014 with
‘Latch’, British electronic duo Disclosure have teamed up again with singer-songwriter Sam
Smith again for ‘Omen’. The single is Disclosure’s third to be released from their forthcoming
second album ‘Caracal’ and the first from the album to hit the ARIA top 50. #37: Nico & Vinz Feat. Kid Ink & Bebe Rexha ‘That’s How You Know’ (debut) – Norwegian
duo Nico & Vinz pick up their first Singles Chart appearance for 2015 with ‘That’s How You
Know’. The pair charted twice in 2014: first with ‘Am I Wrong?’ (#2 Jun. ’14) and then with ‘In
Your Arms’ (#17 Dec. ’14). Albums:

#1: Meghan Trainor ‘Title’ – In its 30th week in the top 50 (including 27 weeks in the top ten),
Meghan Trainor’s ‘Title’ returns to #1 for a second week. The album previously debuted in the
top spot back in January this year. ‘Title’ features the singles ‘All About That Bass’ (#1 Aug. ’14),
‘Lips Are Movin’ (#3 Nov. ’14), ‘Dear Future Husband’ (#9 Feb. ’15) and ‘Like I'm Gonna Lose
You’ (#1 Jun. ’15). #2: Josh Pyke ‘But For All These Shrinking Hearts’ (debut) – The fifth studio album from
Josh Pyke gives the Sydney singer-songwriter his highest ever peak on the ARIA Albums Chart.
‘But For All These Shrinking Hearts’ is the follow-up to ‘The Beginning And The End Of
Everything’ (#7 Jul. ’13) and is his first release with new label, Wonderlick. #3: Gurrumul ‘The Gospel Album’ (debut)– Four years on from his last studio album,
Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu returns with ‘The Gospel Album’. Gurrumul’s third album takes
inspiration from the gospel music he heard at the local Methodist church north east Arnhem
Land while growing up. He’s previously charted with the studio albums ‘Gurrumul’ (#3 Oct. ’08)
and ‘Rrakala’ (#3 Apr. ’11). In between studio albums, Gurrumul released the live collaboration
with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, ‘His Life And Music’ (#48 Dec. ’13). #6: Adam Lambert ‘The Original High’ – Following five weeks in the top 50 in June and July,
including a debut at #5, Adam Lambert’s third studio album returns to the chart for a sixth week.
As with the move up the Singles Chart by ‘Ghost Town’, the jump for ‘The Original High’ comes
on the back of Lambert’s Australian promotional trip this week. #13: Jason Derulo ‘Everything Is 4’ – Also in the country this week for a promo tour, Jason
Derulo returns to the top 50 with fourth album ‘Everything Is 4’. In its eighth week in the top 50,
the album jumps to one spot below its debut/peak of #12 set back in June. Streaming Tracks Top 5:
