Volleyball Season a Success!
GRADE 7 VOLLEYBALL TEAM
Hats off to all of our teammates on the grade seven Pebble Hill Panthers volleyball team, who came out to play this season. It was an excellent year. We were sportsmanlike, very supportive, tried our best and made our school proud. We showed various improvements each game and got better every time we stepped out on the court. We learned lots of things like serving, setting, bumping, and spiking from our coach, Mr. Clay, an experienced player who played in university. We improved a lot, going from winning one or two of the eight games we played each set, to winning four or Aive of the eight games at the end of the season. We thank the grade six players who stepped up to play when we didn’t have enough players. They did a great job. The grade six’s also had a great year with the help of Mr. Preddy’s coaching. On Play Day the volleyball teams from all of the schools in Tsawwassen, came together and just had fun playing. Thanks to Mr. Clay, Mr. Preddy and all our parent drivers. This season was a wonderful experience that none of us will forget. Don’t forget to join us in January when we slap on our runners and shoot some hoops in basketball!

We have reached that time of year when parents would typically be
receiving an indication of their child’s progress via a formal report card.
As part of job action, the Delta Teachers’ Association has informed the
district that teachers will not produce reports cards. However, under the
School Act and as mandated by the Ministry of Education, schools are
required to produce report cards.
The report cards that come home on December 5th will have no student
achievement information. These report cards will contain only attendance
information and the teachers’ names. If you have any questions about
your child’s progress in school, do not hesitate to contact the teacher to
set up a meeting.
If you have any questions, please contact the office.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT
As the Christmas season approaches the children have
reason to become quite excited.
We have a number of events that they will enjoy, including
participating in a school performance. This year there will be
one whole school performance that will be held Wednesday
December 14th at 1:00 pm. We will be accepting nonpersihable food items for Delta Assist.
The Band & Choir will have an evening performance as well.
If you plan to attend I would ask that you limit your party to
immediate family. We are hoping to be able to accommodate
300 (with seating for 250 and standing room.) As the school
has 145 families your cooperation and consideration are
essential for the success of our school performance.
A WONDERFUL START
I hope to see many of you over the next three weeks. As this will be my
last newsletter before the New Year I will take this opportunity to extend
my gratitude to you and your family. I would like to thank you for your
frequent conversations. As you get to know me better our conversations
are beginning to focus on your desires for a good education and ways in
which we can support the hard work that the teachers are doing in the
classroom. May you have a Merry Christmas as you celebrate the
holiday season with your family’s special traditions.
