In March 2007, the Ministry of Trade and Industry embarked on a Trade and Investment
Mission to develop business relations between Trinidad and Tobago and targeted
countries in the Far East. The Trinidad and Tobago High Commissioner to India, His
Excellency, Pundit Maniedeo Persad, has been actively promoting this country as a
premier destination for investment and a large business mission to Trinidad and Tobago
is planned for June 2-7, 2008. The objective of this visit will be to initiate contact with
various private and public organizations to discuss plans and projects which may
strengthen the relationship and develop partnerships between Indian based organizations
and local companies.
A number of Indian organizations have indicated an interest in being a part of this
mission. They have submitted profiles (See Attached) of their companies as well as their
interests which we are sending to you to circulate amongst your membership to determine
if any of your members would be interested in scheduling a meeting with the visiting
