You Can Buy Paper in Standard Sizes
1)
Paper sizes go from AO (which has an area of 1 m^) to
M, A 2 , A 3 , and so on — halving in size (area) each time.
2) Many other sizes are also available:
• A4 paper is half the size of A 3 paper.
• A5 paper is half the size of A4 paper.
• AG paper is half the size of A5 paper.
As the paper gets smaller the number increases.
The width of A 3 paper is the length of A4.
The length of A 3 paper is double the width of A4.
3) The most common paper sizes used in UK schools are
A4 and A 3 . A4 is 297 mm x 210 mm, in case you're interested.
Laminating Paper Gives it New Properties
: A composite is made up of two
- or more different materials.
If you laminate paper by adding a layer of another material,
you get a composite with different qualities.
A combination of paper
and aluminium foil is often
used to package food.
This keeps flavours in and

graphics onto the paper.
