Andy Patrick is a Senior Consultant with SIGMA Threat Management
Associates, a Representative with the South Carolina House of
Representatives (elected in 2010), and a former Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service.
During the course of his Secret Service career, Andy developed extensive experience conducting
and supervising threat assessment investigations and criminal investigations into counterfeiting
of U.S. currency and commercial obligations, financial institution fraud, identity theft and
computer fraud. In addition, Andy served for several years as a liaison between the Secret
Service and the U.S. Intelligence Community, supervising and directing the receipt and review
of law enforcement and national security intelligence information, and assessing its impact on
Secret Service protective responsibilities. Andy also supervised and directed the planning and
implementation of security arrangements for the President, Vice President, foreign heads of
state, and National Special Security Events. Prior to joining the Secret Service, Andy was a
trooper with the New York State Police. He also served in the U.S. Air Force on active duty from
1987 to 1992, and in the New York Air National Guard from 1992-1995. Andy currently serves
as Chief Executive Officer for Advance Point Global, Inc. (APGI), an international security, risk
management and investigative firm. APGI manages and directs global security, due diligence,
and crisis management consulting for companies and government entities conducting
worldwide business. Andy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the State
University of New York College at Brockport. He is a licensed private investigator and an active
member of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), Association of Former Agents –
United States Secret Service (AFAUSSS), and the South Carolina Association of Legal
Investigators.
