DR. WILLIAM L. MCDOW SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INFORMATION Following more than 25 years of medical service to the community, the Dr. William L. McDow scholarship was created to provide an incentive for students from Andrew Jackson High School to pursue and succeed in higher education. The scholarship is meant to serve as a gateway for students to pursue education post high-school and succeed in career and life. APPLICATION CRITERIA Applicants must be a graduating senior, or have graduated, from Andrew Jackson High School in Lancaster County. Applicants must demonstrate to the Scholarship Committee his/her ability to successfully perform in the academic program he/she chooses. Applicants are asked to submit a personal narrative demonstrating how the scholarship will assist in meeting their future goals. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Applicants receiving a scholarship must attend an accredited institution of higher learning that will assist in meeting career goals. The William L. McDow Scholarship Selection Committee will review the applications and attachments and make the award selection based on the above criteria. All awards will be made without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex or disability.
