as it passes through each moon phase.

It will wax and wane.

Waxing moon is getting bright.
Waning means it’s losing light.
There are 5 words to describe the shape
of each moon phase, which total 8.
New moon I can’t see at all.
Crescent moon looks very small.
Quarter moon is halfway bright.
Gibbous moon is mostly light.
Full moon means 5 phases are done.
