LEES Relay Week is Almost Here!

Relay For Life - Each year, our local community participates in a Relay event
where people get together to walk in support of persons who are either survivors
of cancer or who have lost the battle. This year, our school is going to hold our
own Relay event. We are going to celebrate Relay Week April 18 - April 23!
Throughout the week, we will be raising money to support our school Relay For
Life team, the Linville-Edom Erasers, by doing various activities. We will celebrate
by selling lemonade, cotton candy, having a yard sale, having our own “mini” relay, and tye-dying shirts
for our mini relay. Below you will find key dates and information for the activities we will be doing.

Envelopes will be coming home if you’d like to raise/donate money in honor of or in memory of
someone who battled with cancer. Your students will be walking the track in memory of or in
honor of those loved ones on Friday, April 22 during their PE time. Please return the envelopes
by Wednesday, April 20 if you will be supporting in this way.
Saturday, April 23 we will be hosting a yard sale on the front lawn of
the school. The cost is $20 a spot and can be paid on that day.
Yard sale begins at 7:00am and please bring your own tables-they
will not be provided.
Money for Lemonade sales and Cotton Candy sales will be collected
each morning and the product will be distributed each afternoon.

Our goal is for EACH student to have a purple tie dye shirt to wear
for our Mini Relay

Mini Relay T-Shirts

Please have your son/daughter bring a white t-shirt to school by Friday,
○ This does not have to be a new shirt-we will dye them purple
April 15th.
(Purple is the color of Relay For Life - it combines the colors representing all of the cancers)

Please use a sharpie marker to put your son/daughter's name on the collar/tag of the shirt
If you would like, you can rubberband the shirt in any design before you send it in OR you
can send it in undone and we will do them here at school.
