Welcome to our annual fall production
sale. Each year brings many rewards and of
course a few challenges. 2016 will be a year
to remember as the biggest change for us
was a grandson born to Merrit and Michelle
named Myles Rane. It also marked the first
colt crop by Boonshine and an exceptional
grass year for cattle performance. The
challenges are always present in livestock
production but the rewards this lifestyle
furnishes for our family are endless.
2018 will be our first annual A Bar Ranch
Futurity. This event will feature four classes
for 4 and 5 year olds with the A Bar brand
competing for $ 20,000. The futurity will be
hosted at our Squaw Creek Ranch,
Pryor,
Oklahoma, on Father’s Day weekend in
conjunction with our June Cowhorse Classic
Sale. We are also enabling those competitors
the option of selling their entry if so
desired.
Generations of horses come and go at a
slow annual pace. Great caution and thought
given to each mating, trying to preserve the
integrity and enhance their ability with each
new crop. Line breeding and test driving
each cross and generation has been the
standard for 30 plus years. Our goal is to
produce a consistent, durable, good minded,
trainable, exceptional cowhorse.

from your computer at home during the
sale, you must first register by going to
www.okc-west.com and click on Online
Cattle Sale. It will then direct you to the
CattleUsa.com website. We recommend
that you register by November 1, 2016 for
on-line bidding.
Transfer Information
Membership in AQHA must be current in
order to transfer a horse into your name.
Memberships are paid annually. If you need
an AQHA membership, please call AQHA so
that your transfer will not be held up for
membership.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for a normal
transfer of ownership. If you have
questions regarding the status of your
transfer for any horse purchased at this
sale, please call our office.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms: are cash, to be paid in US currency
and/or on US banks the day of the sale. Cash,
Cashiers Check, Mastercard, Visa or approved
Bank checks, will be accepted. No horse will
leave the grounds without a bill of sale.
Bidding: Positive ID is required to receive a
buyer’s number. Each bidder must have a
buyer’s number to bid. The highest bidder is the
buyer. If any dispute arises between two or
more bidders, sole authority to settle the
dispute is reserved by the auctioneer. His
decision shall be final. The auctioneer reserves
the right to reject any or all bids.
Risk: Title to and risk or loss passes to the
buyer when the animal is declared “SOLD” by
the auctioneer. Buyers assume responsibility for
maintenance and care from then on. All horses
should be removed from the site the same day
of sale, Nov.5, 2016, unless other arrangements
have been made with A Bar Ranch.
Registration Papers: All registration papers
will be withheld until all checks clear the banks.
At such time, they will be mailed to AQHA for
transfer. The transfer fee of $20 to AQHA will be
the responsibility of the buyer and will be added
to the purchase price. A purchase invoice will
be filled out on each horse EXACTLY how the
purchaser wants a horse re giste red. We will
not be responsible for errors on transfers
if purchase invoice is not properly and clearly
filled out.
Announcements: Every effort has been made
