Lower School Principal Message

Lower School Principal Message
March 4, 2016
Summer School registration has started for our Le Jardin families prior to the classes being released to the
public. If you would like your child to enroll, check out the course catalog
(www.lejardinacademy.org/summerschool) and select your choice shortly, as many fill quickly. If your
child needs to strengthen his/her math and/or language arts (reading and writing) skills, we recommend
you enroll your child in applicable courses. For instance, if your child is currently in grade one and needs
reading support, you would select Language 2. If your child is in grade four and needs more help with
math, you would choose Math 5. Please ask your classroom teacher if you have questions about your
child’s needs or email Summer School staff directly for course questions
([email protected]).
RE-ENROLLMENT CONTRACTS
Make sure you follow the online instructions to re-enroll your child to Le Jardin for next school year. We
have many families who are hoping to join our school next year and we cannot release places until we
hear from our current families. If you are not returning, please communicate this with us as soon as
possible.
FAMILY FUN NIGHT
Next Friday marks one of our biggest events as our students play games, play with Mars Mud, enjoy face
painting and exchange books, under the theme Ghostbusters, organized by the Student Council at our
Family Fun Night. Please look out for the flyer in your child’s Friday Folder for scrip purchases. Extra
forms here.
CAR DECAL
Make sure your car has the Le Jardin Academy car decal in the window so we can easily recognize cars
which are meant to be on our campus. Contact the main office for help!
STUDENT LED CONFERENCES
Student Led Conferences take place on our next Professional Development Day, which is THIS Monday,
March 7th. This is a time for your child to guide you through their learning and you all should have signed
up a time with your child’s teacher. Please try not to bring siblings to the scheduled time as this is a time
to celebrate each child’s journey without distractions.
BOOK EXCHANGE
Take the time this weekend to sort through your children’s books at home and bring them to school for
the book exchange. The book collection starting on March 8th and the exchange takes place during the
