What is the Living expenses Card?
The most popular items to package under the tax free cap
are:
The living expenses card is an ANZ VISA debit card that
allows you to purchase everyday items using your pre-tax
dollars. The card can be used anywhere VISA is accepted.
You can pay for groceries, utility bills, clothes, haircuts and
many other day to day expenses. You won’t need to send
us any receipts or other paperwork. Best of all you won’t
go into debt as you can only spend the money that has
been put onto the card through salary packaging.

How much can I package under my tax free cap?
You can package up to $15,900 per Fringe Benefits Tax
(FBT) year. You have the option to salary package the
entire amount towards one of the above items, or on a
combination of items. Paywise have systems in place to
ensure you do not exceed the maximum limit of $15,900.
The FBT Year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
How does the card work?
Just nominate the amount of pre-tax dollars you would like
to put on the card each fortnight. The standard fortnightly
amount is $611.53 (i.e. $15,900 /26). Once the funds are
received from your payroll, Paywise will send the money
to your Living expense Card. The funds will be put on
your card overnight and you will receive an SMS from
ANZ advising the amount that was put on the card and the
current balance.
How do I get started?
All you have to do is complete and submit the relevant
application form along with any substantiation required. For
example, a mortgage statement or rental agreement.
How can I apply for the card?

Call or email us to request a Card application form
2.
Attend your nearest ANZ branch to complete an
identification check (if you are not an existing ANZ
customer)
3.
Once you have completed the application form and
returned it to Paywise, we will send it across to ANZ
who will issue the card to you within 10 business days.
How does the Living Expenses benefit work?
You have the option of submitting Living Expenses claims
for a reimbursement back to your own bank account or
using the convenient Paywise ANZ VISA card.
The taxation benefits are the same whether you decide to
submit clatims or use the Paywise card.
How do I make a claim for living expenses?
Complete a reimbursement claim form (available at
Paywise.com.au) and send it to Paywise with your credit
card or debit card statements. Once your claim has been
received it will be processed within 3 working days.
