DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Distributes Guayaki Brand Yerba Mate to store locations in the specified gSD region. Presents yerba mate, answers questions, and educates customers about yerba mate. Exhibits knowledge of complete line of yerba mate products and services and customers' issues and needs. Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing clients. Plans and manages assigned sales territory. Maintains and nurtures existing customer relationships. Generates and develops new business to meet specified budget goals. Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. Consults with customers after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. Requisitions products and distributes them to wholesale and retail clients. Plans, assembles, and stocks product displays in retail stores, or makes recommendations to retailers regarding product displays, promotional programs, and advertising. Arranges and directly delivers and installs Guayaki product and equipment. Checks stock levels and reorders merchandise as necessary. Negotiates with retail merchants to improve product exposure, such as shelf positioning and advertising. Assists in distributor order fulfillment, including delivery, order placement, pallet stacking, labeling (PO numbers, identifying proper invoices, etc.), and loading delivery vehicle(s) to ensure safe arrival of products at final destinations. Tracks warehouse inventory, receives shipments, and stores product in proper location per the requirements of Organic Certification. Organizes and maintains warehoused product to the requirements established by the area manager; including but not limited to, warehouse cleaning duties, recycling of cardboard, and any other warehousing requirements. Prepares and presents sales proposals. Estimates or quotes prices, credit or payment terms, and delivery dates. Obtain credit information about prospective customers. • • • • • • • • Collects payment from customers. Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of Guayaki Brand Yerba Mate as well as beverage industry product information. Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed. Ensures that all required customer paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Provides timely and accurate reports as required. Attends and participates in business/trade events that impact business unit. Attends and participates in team strategic sales meetings. Performs other duties as assigned by manager. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent, one to two year’s experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Must be a self-starter and proactive. • Commitment to excellence and high standards. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. • Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills. • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously • Stand and walk for long periods of time. • Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information • Understand and respond to a diverse population. • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Travel is required by car/company vehicle. Proof of insurance and a clean DMV record may be required. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Works at various locations including distribution center and customer locales such as retail stores.
