The Recreation Partnership “RP”
In 2017, the RP enters its’ 22nd year. Ten municipalities and the County make up this unique
alliance. It is one of the largest in the state. The Ithaca Youth Bureau is the program provider while
the Tompkins County Youth Services Department gives planning and financial coordination. The
contributions of the county and the participating municipalities help keep programs affordable and
accessible. Members of the RP live in the following municipalities: City of Ithaca, Village of Lansing,
Towns of: Caroline, Danby, Dryden, Enfield, Groton, Ithaca, Newfield, and Ulysses (including students
who attend Trumansburg Schools). As an RP member you receive a discounted program fee. These
programs will be labeled “RP discount”.
Other Recreation Program “CD”
Some of our recreation programs are not supported by the Recreation Partnership. These programs
are supported by the City of Ithaca and a “City Discount” will be given to residents of the city of
Ithaca. You will see “CD” next to these programs.
Diversity Statement
The Ithaca Youth Bureau is committed to fostering a community and workforce that values, respects
and includes all people in order to ensure a safe, affirming and nurturing environment that is
welcoming to everyone. The IYB actively celebrates differences and promotes mutual respect,
cultural diversity and inclusion in all of our programs. It is our hope that our programs will assist
participants and their families in developing new relationships that will strengthen and unite our
community.
