MISSION STATEMENT
Alpha Delta Gamma is founded on Five
Basic Principles, known as the Five S’s:
Spiritual, Scholastic, Service, School
Spirit, and Social. Today, Alpha Delta
Gamma still holds these Five Basic
Principles in high regard. Each Chapter
tries her best to complete many aspects
of the Five S’s during the course of the
school year. But most importantly, Alpha
Delta Gamma still remembers the true
reason why her Founding Fathers
started talking that fateful day in 1924.
And this reason is TRUE
BROTHERHOOD.
The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Incorporated is to cultivate and
encourage high scholastic and ethical
standards, to promote unity and
friendship among college women, to
study and help alleviate problems
concerning girls and women in order to
maintain a progressive interest in college
life, to improve their social stature, and
be of service to all mankind. /
/ Alpha Phi is a sisterhood of women
supporting one another in lifelong
achievement.
Developing men of principle for a
principled life
The Purpose of Delta Delta Delta shall be
to establish a perpetual bond of
friendship among its members, to
develop a stronger and more womanly
character, to broaden the moral and
intellectual life, and to assist its members
in every possible way. / It shall also be
the Purpose of Delta Delta Delta to
promote and develop mutually beneficial
relationships between the Fraternity and
the colleges and universities where the
Fraternity has established chapters, to
develop qualities of unselfish leadership
among its members, and to encourage
them to assume, with integrity and
devotion to moral and democratic
principles, the highest responsibilities of
college women.

personal integrity, personal
responsibility and intellectual honesty.
Its primary purpose is to foster high
ideals of friendship, promote educational
and cultural interests, create a true sense
of social responsibility, and develop the
finest qualities of character.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a
private, non-profit organization whose
purpose is to provide assistance and
support through established programs in
local communities throughout the world.
A sisterhood of more than 200,000
predominately Black college educated
women, the Sorority currently has over
900 chapters located in the United
States, England, Japan (Tokyo and
Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands,
Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic
of Korea. The major programs of the
sorority are based upon the
organization's Five Point Programmatic
Thrust: / / Economic Development /
Educational Development / International
Awareness and Involvement / Physical
and Mental Health / Political Awareness
and Involvement.
The purpose of this sorority shall be to
unite its members in the bond of sincere
and lasting friendship, to stimulate one
another in the pursuit of knowledge, to
promote moral and social culture of its
members, and to develop plans for
guidance and unity in action; object
worthy of the highest aim and purpose of
associated efforts.
Joining the LMU Greek community will
provide you with the opportunity to
meet many wonderful people and
become involved on campus and
throughout the city. Membership in a
fraternity or sorority helps foster special
friendships and creates many valuable
networks to help you succeed in college.
The men and women in the Greek
community pride themselves in
participating in experiences that
highlight outstanding academics, culture

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, Kappa
Alpha Theta exists to nurture each
member throughout her college and
alumnae experience and to offer a
lifelong opportunity for social,
intellectual, and moral growth as she
meets the higher and broader demands
of mature life.
Through our Core Values and ritualistic
teachings , Lambda Chi Alpha aims to
systematically develop our men by
fundamentally shaping who they are,
what they know, and what they can do.
The mission of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for
women is to promote friendship, develop
women of intellect and integrity,
cultivate leadership potential and enrich
lives through community service.
The Iota Omega Chapter of Sigma Chi's
purpose is to promote the concepts of
Friendship, Justice, and Learning. Our
mission statement is to develop valuesbased leaders committed to the
betterment of character, campus, and
community.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority's aim is to
enhance the quality of life within the
community. Public service, leadership
development and education of youth are
the hallmark of the organization's
programs and activities. Sigma Gamma
Rho addresses concerns that impact
society educationally, civically, and
economically.
