Activity 1
Which witch is which?
You will need:
● one copy of Worksheet 1 for each child
● one copy of Worksheet 2 for each child (note that one copy is for two children)
● one copy of Worksheet 3 for each child (optional) (note that one copy is for two
children)
Instructions:
1 Distribute Worksheet 1 to your students.
2 Ask the children to look at the picture. Tell them that they have to use the information
in the text to work out which witch is which. Distribute Worksheet 2 to your students
and tell them to use the chart to help them by using a cross where a certain piece
of information refers to a certain witch. For example, Wig and Wyona are scared
of heights, so they will need to put a cross in the squares under their names.

They all have a problem: Wig and Wyona
are scared of heights so they never
use their broomsticks to fly.
Wendy, Wanda and Winnie are all allergic
to cats. Sometimes they use their
cauldrons to make spells.
Wendy has the biggest cauldron.
Wanda and Wig have grey hair.
The others have black hair.
Wig has the longest cape.
They all wear black hats and black
dresses. They wear tights but Wendy
and Winnie don’t like stripes.
