Bulletin - St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Parish, Regina SK, Canada

SEEN AROUND THE PARISH: Confirmation & First Eucharist held last weekend was a wonderful
celebration. The Spirit was certainly moving. This week there was a Prayer Service Wednesday for
Jeanine King who passed away May 12, her funeral was Saturday in Redvers, SK. Our sympathy is
extended to her husband Morris, family & friends. Wednesday the students from St. Francis were
here to celebrate their Pentecost Mass - the church was full of enthusiasm and joy!!
STEWARDSHIP: Celebrating & Sharing God’s Gifts. Today’s psalm reminds us that we have been
crowned with glory and honor and given rule over the works of God’s hands. But we must be good
stewards, for the Lord will surely hold us accountable for the use of those gifts!
Prayer of Thanks - Father, help me to experience the resurrection power of Jesus in my life. Thank
You that Jesus conquered sin and death, and because Your Spirit lives in me, I can live an overcoming
victorious life too.

HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY
May 21/22, 2016
When a person opens to Christ, who is the Truth, then the Spirit of Christ comes to dwell in him. And the
indwelling Spirit brings with him the gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel and knowledge. A
person who loves Christ and has the Spirit of Christ within them knows the Lord. And in the light of that
knowledge, they can also see a lot of things that they would have been blind to before coming to love the Lord. So
the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. And he guides Christ’s people to all truth.

Assisted Suicide & Euthanasia THINK ABOUT IT
- Euphemisms such as “medical aid in
dying” or “mercy killing” or “dying with dignity” or “terminating the suffering” do not change the fact that
allowing assisted suicide and euthanasia makes it legal to kill someone (euthanasia) or to aid in their suicide
(assisted suicide).

Life’s Unanswered Questions ............... How do the skittle company people know what a rainbow tastes
like? How do you tell when you run out of invisible ink? If we’re not supposed to eat late-night snacks,
why is there a light in the refrigerator? Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines?
Sooner or later, doesn’t EVERYONE stop smoking? What do sheep count when they can’t get to sleep?
