The 9th Annual Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) South Shore Kids Ride is on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from
8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at DCR Wompatuck State Park in Hingham. Children and their families from
over 30 South Shore communities participate in the Ride and party; over 1,000 people uniting to raise
money for patients and fund research for The Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in
Boston.
In 2014 the South Shore Ride was the 2nd largest of the PMC Kids Rides in fundraising and riders,
raising an impressive $70,000. These riders were supported by 170 hard working volunteers and their
families. On June 7th, the emcees from WROR, WBZ’s Kerry Connolly and State Representative
Garrett Bradley will kick off the event. The fundraising goal is $75,000 with 500 kids riding their
bikes!
Since the event was first held eight years ago, the PMC South Shore Kids riders have raised over
$410,000! The PMC Kids Rides are an outgrowth of the 190-mile two-day PMC adult ride from
Sturbridge to Provincetown. Since its inception over 35 years ago, the PMC has contributed more than
$455 million to the fight against cancer.
Corporate sponsorship of financial support, underwriting and in-kind donations is an integral
component of the PMC Kids Rides. With your support and sponsorship, the PMC South Shore Kids
