Getting Cultured
You know what they say - “You learn something new every
day.” Residents did just that recently on their trip to the
Acadian Cultural Center in Lafayette. The museum is
dedicated to telling the story of the Acadian people from
origin to modern day. Residents had a great time learning
and exploring at the cultural center.

Hot Diggity Dog!
What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than with an All-American hot dog bar? Residents
enjoyed participating in our hot dog topping contest, where they competed to create the tastiest hot
dog. Our 1st place winner was Ms. Enite Weekly and 2nd place winner was Ms. Julia Denton.

Over the counter medications and aerosols are prohibited from resident rooms.
Help keep your loved ones’ closet neat by cleaning it out seasonally.

Our Lost & Found items are located in the Laundry Dept. (periodically displayed) in the Beauty Shop.
Resident funds are available on weekends – see RN.

We celebrated National Pig Calling Day by having our very
own pig calling contest at Eastridge Nursing &
Rehabilitation! Participants let out their best call, and
everyone had a blast hearing everyone’s individual take on
pig calling. Congratulations to our winner, Ms. Florine
Gamble!
Sweet Summertime Social
Last month, Eastridge celebrated summertime with a
Watermelon Social. We enjoyed the favorite summer fruit and
even held our own watermelon seed spitting contest. Ms.
Florine Gamble was our winner with an impressive 13 feet!
