goalsandre-evaluate/prioritizethemforshorttermandlong-termtimeline.Hehighlightedthelateststateeconomic
issuesandtheneedsofouruniversity.Heconfirmedinputfromallexistinguniversitycommittees,suchastheFaculty
AcademicStrategicPlanningCommitteeandtheEnrollmentManagementTeam.
6. TheSCSUReflectionGardenProjectco-chairedbyBillFaraclasandDanCamengawithPresidentBertolinotheHonorary
Chairofthecommittee.Thisisaprojectthatwillbedevelopedandsupportedwithfundsraisedforthatpurposeonlyas
wellaswithgrantwriting.
7. IleneCrawfordpresentedattheUCFmeetingyesterday,areportonthestatusofthegraduatelevelcertification
programs,whichcurrentlyincludeundergraduatecourses(forwhichourgraduatestudentspayatthegraduaterate).
ThereportrequiresthataproposalofsuchprogramsabovetheBSdegreestobecomeindependentcertification
programswithaslittleas18creditsandnotbepartofanMSdegree.ThedeadlineisendofFebruary.Concernswere
raisedasthiscurriculumissueshouldhavefacultyparticipationandthetimelineshouldhavebeenannouncedearlier,so
thatthedeadlinescouldhavebeenmet.Theoriginalrequestwasdatedninemonthsago.
