Keep your information up to date. If you have a change of address, phone number, photo I.D.,
name change etc., please make the necessary changes through the credit union. Keeping your
information current ensures that you receive any important notices by mail or telephone. If your
information is not current, it could also increase your chances of identity theft and/or general
service fees. Please see one of the Member Service Representatives to make any changes.
Spring Cleaning Can Save Energy & Money!
Clean Your Refrigerator Coils-cleaning the coils off on the back of the refrigerator will
make it run much more efficiently and save both energy AND money!
Inspect Sliding Glass Doors– If your home has a sliding glass door, be sure to keep the
track clean! A dirty track can ruin the door’s seal and create gaps where heat and cold air
can escape.
Change Air Conditioner Filter– You can save 5% to 15% on cooling costs just by making
sure that you’re A/C filter is clean. This is easy to do, and you should change your air filter
in your home 2-4 times per year.
Clean Inside of Dishwasher– Keeping your dishwasher clean saves energy and water.
You’ll use less energy and water in pre-soaking and rinsing with these simple steps:
1. Cut the power or unplug
2. Use vinegar and water to clean racks and door
3. Check the spinning arms and vents, clearing out any debris
4. Check around the door to make sure no dirt is preventing the seals from closing
Clothes Dryer Lint Filter– Don’t forget to clean the lint filter every time you use the dryer!

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO PA UNCLAIMED PROPERTY LAW
Under the previous version of the Pennsylvania Unclaimed Property Law, accounts were presumed abandoned or
unclaimed if the owner had not taken specific action regarding his or her account within the previous five (5) years. Effective
immediately, the Act changes that time period to THREE (3) YEARS. Any accounts that are dormant will remitted to the State
of Pennsylvania before April 15, 2015 as required by law.

80th Annual Meeting!
Valley 1st will hold it’s 80th Annual Meeting on Friday, April 24th, 2015 at the Willow
Room. Located in Rostraver Township, the Willow Room is the premier banquet
facility in the Mon Valley area, offering beautiful dining facilities, excellent menu
choices, a fabulous atmosphere and a breathtaking view.
DJ Bill Lemon will be providing the entertainment for the evening and there will be
a special grand prize giveaway in honor of our 80th anniversary!
