Treat your group to the Wisconsin
Maritime Museum, the State of Wisconsin’s
only Smithsonian Affiliate and the Great
Lake’s premier maritime museum. A great
place to learn, play, and explore the rich
maritime history of Wisconsin and the Great
Lakes region. Located on the shores of Lake
Michigan, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum offers
visitors a unique place to spend hours learning about the
sailors, shipbuilders, and submariners who made history
and provides an opportunity to have some great fun!

Birthday party rates include admission to the Wisconsin
Maritime Museum and its galleries, use of the Riverview
Room for a 3-hour period, and a guided tour of USS
COBIA, the nation’s most completely restored World
War II submarine and national historic landmark.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
at all times while in the museum.

Birthday Parties at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum
Planning Your Party
Looking for a unique and exciting
adventure for your child’s next
birthday party?
An Unique & Affordable Alternative:
Parties are reasonably priced at $125, which includes
admission for 10 children and two adult chaperones, a
3 hour rental of the Riverview Room, an abbreviated
tour of the USS COBIA, and access to the Museum’s
galleries, including the Little Lakefarer’s Room and the
Waterways Room. Additional children are welcome to
attend at the reduced rate of $8 each and additional
chaperones will receive the reduced rate of $5 each. A
non-refundable $25 credit card deposit is required at
the time of the reservation. Children must be
accompanied by an adult at all times.

railroad car ferry CHIEF WAWATAM.
Stroll the streets of an historic Great Lakes
port where shipbuilders, sailors, and traders
walked more than 150 years ago

Scan Manitowoc’s scenic harbor through a
real submarine periscope in the Little
Lakefarer’s Room.
Soak up the fun in the Children’s Waterways
Room, where you can build your own boat
and then float it through a working locks
system.
Explore the Wisconsin-Build Boat Gallery
for a close-up view of the boats that helped
build Wisconsin’s tradition of craftsmanship.
The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is considered one
of the finest on the Great Lakes and is the only
Smithsonian Affiliate in Wisconsin.
Your Child’s Birthday Party Includes:
• Rental of the Riverview Room for refreshments, gift
exchange, and party games.
• A walk-through of USS COBIA, the nation’s most
fully restored World War II submarine.
• Access to the Museum’s galleries including the
Waterways Room, Little Lakefarer’s Room, the
submarine simulator, USS COBIA theater, Riverside
Gallery, Wisconsin Built Boat Gallery, CHIEF
WAWATAM steam engine exhibit, the model gallery,
and the permanent and temporary galleries.
Groups are welcome to bring their own food and
refreshments or arrange to have food delivered. If
ordering in, an adult chaperone must meet the delivery
person at the front desk. Groups are required to clean
up after themselves and will be provided a cleaning
check list..
Decorations:
Make the event memorable by decorating the
room in your child’s favorite themed table
cloths, centerpieces, plates, cutlery, and
napkins.
Please note that while such
table decorations are permissible, nothing
may be affixed to the Museum walls.
