WMS version: 3.0 ! Note: 32-bit browsers such as Google Chrome do not support Java 7 on Mac OS X. In case you are using a 32-bit browser browser on Apple Mac OS X, you should first launch the Zero Distance application on 64-bit browser (such as Safari or Firefox). ! ! Activation ! • Access CTIconnect PRO → Settings → Extensions → Click “Launch” Zero Distance extension ! ! ! ! ! ! appears on the menu bar, the of Zero Distance client is installed and you can make • As soon as the icon and receive calls via Zero Distance. ! The first time you have launched Zero Distance, the icon “ZD Launcher” is saved to your computer desktop. The next time you want to start Zero Distance, you can click the icon on your desktop. You can enable Zero Distance application to run automatically at the PC startup (how can I do it?). ! ! Settings Click on the icon with the left button and select “Options” to check or change your Zero Distance settings. ! • Account: Check that the “Status” is “online” to make sure that Zero Distance is running; • Audio: Adjust the Audio settings; • Video: Adjust the video settings ! ! ! To exit the Zero Distance application: - Click the icon - Select “Quit” with the left button Zero Distance 3.x Quick Guide 3 Call management ! Answer a call ! • Click the green button in the popup window to answer an incoming call; • Click the red button to reject an incoming call. ! ! Make a call ! icon with the right button of a mouse to open the dialpad; • Click the • Enter the number you wish to call; • Click the green button. ! ! ! You can set up your CTIconnect PRO to make calls via Zero Distance client* • Click the Device selection button situated in the upper menu of the CTIconnect PRO; • Select “Zero Distance” • All the calls generated from CTIconnect interface will be made via Zero Distance Client. ! ! ! Manage a call ! For more information about call generation from CTIconnect PRO interface, read the manual “CTIconnect PRO 3.x” The buttons situated on the call management panel allow you to manage the call: ! - view the dialpad - put a call on hold - make a call transfer - start/stop video streaming - show/hide the local video stream - start sharing your desktop - mute/unmute the microphone; hold the button for several seconds to adjust the microphone volume - adjust the audio volume ! ! - hang up. Attended transfer: with the left button to call the contact you wish to transfer the call to. • Click the icon The current call is put on hold • Wait till the person responds. Now you can notify the user about the call transfer • Click the button • Select a call on hold that you wish to transfer. ! Zero Distance 3.x Quick Guide 4 Conference management ! Create a conference ! Go to Messaging menu Click the button “Create conference” Fill in the conference’s “Title” field Start typing the participant’s names or extension numbers into the field below “Participants” to add the conference participants • Click “Create” • • • • ! ! ! ! Manage a conference ! ! Chat: Multiuser chat starts automatically as soon as the participants join the conference: ! Start audio: ! • • • • ! ! ! ! Click on the microphone icon in front of your name Click on the green button to join the conference call Click the microphone icon in front of the participants names to invite them to join the conference call The participants will join the audio conference as soon as they respond the conference call Zero Distance 3.x Quick Guide 5 Start video: ! Each user can manage the conference directly from their call management window. To start the video streaming, click the button situated on the call management panel. (For more information, consult the chapter of this guide: “Call management: Manage a call”) ! Note: the system automatically shows the video streaming of the participant who is currently speaking. As soon as another participant starts speaking, the system will automatically show his video streaming to other participants. ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! The privileges of the conference moderator (the person who has created the conference): • Change the conference title: click the pencil icon situated near the conference title . • Add participants: click the button “Add people”. • Exclude participants: click the icon situated near the name of the participant that you wish to exclude. • Finish the conference: click the button “Finish”. Note: a participant can click the button “Exit” to exit the conference room. Close the conference room: • Select the conference that you wish to close in the left panel and click on it with the right button • Click “Remove”. ! ! ! Join the conference room: • Dial the feature code 98 • Dial the automatically generated PIN code that is visualized above the list of the participants. Check if Zero Distance client is registered to the PBX - Left-click the Zero Distance icon - Select “Options” - Check Account section: User: Extension_Number@PBX_IP Status: Online ! ! ! ! Check that Java is running and is enabled for Web Applications • Check if Java is enabled for Web Applications; • Check the browser compatibility; • Download Java. ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Set up Zero Distance to work outside your LAN Please contact your Certified Installer to get the detailed instructios regarding firewall/router settings Safari 7 and Java 7 update 51 (and higher) on Mac OS X Mavericks For the correct behavior it is necessary to follow the steps described below: • Go to Safari → “Preferences” → “Security” → “Manage Website Settings" • Make sure that your Wildix PBX IP address (domain name) is present on the list • Select your PBX address, select the option “Allow always” and “Run in Unsafe Mode” → “Done”. ! ! ! !
