KIDS CLUB POLICIES AND PROCEDURES INFANTS INFANTS TODDLER PRESCHOOL 6 weeks – 6 months – Ratio 2:1 These children will be cared for Monday – Friday during the hours of 12 noon – 4:00p.m. They may stay up to 1-½ hours 6 months – 12 months – Ratio 4:1 13 months – 3 years – Ratio 7:1 3 years and up – Ratio 12:1 WE WANT TO HOLD TO RATIOS TO ENSURE THE CHILDREN’S SAFETY AND QUALITY OF CARE. WE WILL CERTAINLY ACCEPT WALK-INS AS THE CAPACITY CAN ALLOW!! RESERVATION PROCEDURE- To ensure a spot for your infant between the ages 6 weeks – 6 months old please call for a reservation. Kids Club will only take 2 infants at a time to hold to Ratios. You may make reservations 6 days in advance by directly calling the Kids Club Desk at 287-9324. During the hours that the Kids Club is not open, feel free to leave a message. No reservation needed for ages 6 mo. – 6 yrs. old SECURITY POLICY-To ensure the security of your child in our Club, we will be following these steps: When a parent drops off their child they will sign them in with Kids Club staff. They will make the staff aware of location, who is picking up and if the child has allergies. If a parent drops off their child and wants their spouse/family member to pick them up, you must inform Kids Club staff. A picture ID (Driver’s license or picture on the Club computer screen) will be needed for verification of the person’s identity before they can take the child out. KIDS CLUB CHARGE-Kids Club charges $4.00 per child and includes a 2-½ hour maximum limit per day. If a child’s stay exceeds the maximum limit, an additional $4.00 will be charged. PACKAGES-Kids Club offers packages at a discounted rate. You can purchase either a childcare package of 12 for $40 (17% savings); a childcare package of 25 for $80 (20% savings) and/or a drop off package of 12 for $80 (20% savings). FOOD-PRESCHOOL/TODDLER/INFANT - We serve lunches and snacks provided by parents upon request of the children unless the parent writes a specific time. Bottles will be given at any time. Please keep snacks and lunches simple and precut as staff will not prepare foods. ALLERGIES-We are committed to providing a safe environment for all children. Kids Club is peanut aware. Please do not bring a snack that contains peanuts or nut products (i.e. peanut butter, some granola bars, etc., please read labels carefully). We cannot guarantee we will be 100% nut free as we still sell these products in the Club Café & Deli and in the Neighborhood. CHOKING - Items such as popcorn, chewing gum, trail mix and peanuts/nut, etc. are not allowed in Kids Club due to choking. SHOES/SOCKS MUST BE WORN DUE TO SAFETY AND SANITARY REASONS TOYS-Please refrain from bringing toys from home. This causes a sharing issue. DIAPERS/POTTY TRAINING – If your child is wearing a diaper, please bring a diaper, as Rochester Athletic Club does not supply them. If your child is potty training, please bring a change of clothes and inform Kids Club. BITING/HITTING/ETC...- On the occasion that a child bites or hits, the child is put on a one month probation period. If a second incident happens within one month, the child will be asked not to come back to the Kids Club for two weeks. (over) SICK CLUB SICK POLICY- DO NOT BRING A CHILD IF THE FOLLOWING HAS OCCURRED IN THE LAST 24 HOURS: Temperature of 100 degrees or higher Vomiting and Diarrhea Runny nose with green or yellow mucus Discharge from eyes, ears, or nasal discharge Has been exposed to a contagious condition such as: pink eye, infections of the eye, chicken pox, lice, measles, strep, roseola, sore throat, or visible spots. Breathing difficulties or coughing Behavior changes such as crying, irritability or lack of appetite Shots within the last 24 hours Child must be ON antibiotics for 24 hours before returning. Please do not be offended if we ask you to take them out of Kids Club. We need to look out for staff and the children. Below are suggestions that will assure that your child will be able to have a snack. It is important to accept the snack by the recommended manufacturer because another brand of animal crackers, for example, might not be safe.
