Dear Parents/carers,
We had a lovely trip to Pulborough Brooks on Thursday. The children used dog biscuits to
measure the flow rate of a stream, sketched the view from the hyde, used a compass to
navigate North, South, East and West, and also saw lots of wildlife- including 2 adders!
Thank you to Mrs Harrap and Mrs Thompson for coming with us.
In maths this week the focus has been division. The children have used both the currant
bun and number line method to help them solve divisions, including divisions with
remainders.
Today the children wrote a detailed recount about our trip to Pulborough Books highlighting
their favourite part and events of the day. In literacy this week the class have also continued
finding facts and started planning their reports.
The children looked fantastic dressed as their book character today- well done!

Reading: Read as often as possible, if you read silently write me a comment to tell
me what happened.
Maths: Complete the division sheet, make sure you use the method shown at the
top of the sheet and show your working out.
Times tables: Practise your _______ times tables
Spelling: Think of 5 words using the in or im prefix we learnt this week. Write each
word in a sentence.
