7th March 2014 Dear Parents/carers, We had a lovely trip to Pulborough Brooks on Thursday. The children used dog biscuits to measure the flow rate of a stream, sketched the view from the hyde, used a compass to navigate North, South, East and West, and also saw lots of wildlife- including 2 adders! Thank you to Mrs Harrap and Mrs Thompson for coming with us. In maths this week the focus has been division. The children have used both the currant bun and number line method to help them solve divisions, including divisions with remainders. Today the children wrote a detailed recount about our trip to Pulborough Books highlighting their favourite part and events of the day. In literacy this week the class have also continued finding facts and started planning their reports. The children looked fantastic dressed as their book character today- well done! Have a lovely weekend, see you on Tuesday.
