Our Fall Festival promises to be a wonderful opportunity for the surrounding community to October 15 Fall Festival come together and enjoy games, concessions, and even a bounce October 16 World Food Day day out for lunch, a tour of the orchard and even a stop to enjoy house for the kids. We also have our annual apple orchard trip coming up the 7th of this month for all the residents to enjoy a some fried apple pies. We hope you will also join us on October 27th for a Halloween party with a live band and trick or treating October 29 National Cat Day October 31 Halloween Halloween Themed Family Night for the kids. It will surely be a spooky good time! Connor Overbeek, Executive Director The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe Recent Events Pirate Party – September 1st World Series of Bingo – September 15th Ahoy Matey! On this month’s Funtastic Friday, the residents enjoyed a pirate themed party complete with The residents enjoyed a super-sized edition of Bingo as part of National Assisted Living Week. They played photo ops, snacks, and even fish and chips! They even wore their pirate hats and eye patches to dinner after an extended game all morning before a surprise pizza lunch. After lunch, they ended with a championship the party! series and awarded the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners with a basket full of goodies & a gift card. It was a huge hit, which the residents are still talking about today. A Night in Virtual Reality – September 14th As part of the “Keep Connected” theme for National Assisted Living Week, our residents thoroughly enjoyed a one of a kind virtual reality experience into the deep blue ocean. We will have booths set up with games, tons of prizes, fresh cotton candy, a bounce house and even a dunking booth where everyone will have the opportunity to dunk management for a donation to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. family and friends! October 31st at 5:00 pm Halloween Themed Family Night This month’s family night will include a huge Halloween Party including both buildings, for trick or treat- October 7th Apple Orchard Trip ing with visiting children. It promises to be quite a party, with a live band for the festivities! We will be taking a field trip to the apple orchard in Ellijay on this day.
