PRE-MOVE CONFIRMATION LETTER
Charges for Moving and/or Packing Service: I understand and agree that the total bill
presented to me at the completion of the move is based on the actual number of hours it
takes to pack, load, and move and unload my possessions, multiplied by $
hour

We charge in ¼ hour increments and round to the
next ¼ hour. We have a minimum charge of two hours plus a Travel fee. There is an
extra charge on certain oversize or unique items which includes: pianos, motorcycles,
pool tables, organs, safes, large screen TVs, full size copiers and fire-proof file cabinets.
Any estimate given by Two College Movers for this move, prior to signing this
agreement, has been made as carefully as possible, based on the information provided
to us. The estimate was based on your place of residence or business being
packed and ready to move.

Payment: Payment is due at the completion of the move or if traveling Out of state
moves must be paid in certified funds: 50% deposit in certified funds is due before the
move and the remaining 50% upon delivery. Payment can be made by cash, payment
code (if move was booked through e-move), credit cards or check payable to Two
College Movers. If there is problem with your payment, we reserve the right to charge
you’re credit card. In the event of non-payment, the customer agrees to pay an interest
at the rate of 1.5% per month on any past due balance. The customer agrees to pay
expenses incurred by Two College Movers in seeking payment, including but not
limited to reasonable attorney's fees. The highest handling charge allowed by law is
issued to checks returned due to non-sufficient funds.
Damage Claims: Although our movers will be careful with your possessions, from time
to time damages may occur. If damage is caused by our service, Two College Movers
reserves the right to repair the damage(s) in question. If we determine that a damage
cannot be repaired, we reserve the right to either replace or compensate (actual cash
value) for the damage. If there is damage, notify your movers immediately. They will
complete a Damage Report before they leave your site. Carrier liability is $.60 cents per
pound for loss or damage items. If you discover damage after the move, call the office
within 48 hours of your move. No damage claims will be honored until the charges for
moving services are paid in full.
No damage claims will be honored for damages caused while unloading/loading
your truck or storage unit packed from another responsible party. Two College Movers
is only responsible for items in our immediate care, custody and control. You will be
asked to sign a Release of Liability acknowledging this. Two College Movers is not
responsible for items broken by customer on the job. If customer or 3rd party is loading/
unloading during the move at anytime, Two College Movers will not honor damage
claims unless reported on the Damage Report during the move. Two College Movers
is not responsible for items packed by owner, particle board furniture or jewelry. Two
College Movers is not responsible for any damages that may occur during transport
when loading a Pod or another party’s truck.
Cash Only: In the event that the customer cannot provide a credit card prior to the
move date. Two College Movers will request cash upfront equal to full or half of the
estimated total moving cost. For any jobs under $300.00 we will request cash only.
Cancellations: Please contact Two College Movers 48 hours prior to your move, if
you must cancel or reschedule your move. In the event you are not able to cancel within
that period, Two College Movers reserves the right to charge the customer a one hour
minimum or 5% for out of state moves.
Release of Liability: It is hereby acknowledged Two College Movers has been
employed by the Customer to provide (moving and/or packing, cleaning, loading and/or
and /or unloading) services. Customer or Customer’s agent, hereby acknowledges
having been advised of the following risk of harm for activities requested by or
Customer.
Packed By Owners: The condition of any item(s) boxed by customer and not inspected
prior to move are not insured by TCM and is the responsibility of the customer.
Appliances: TCM is not responsible for damage to plumbing, electrical systems or for
water damage associated with the connection or disconnection of washers, dryers and
fridges. TCM cannot be responsible for dents or scratches on major appliances. They
are covered by a thin metal that has an extreme affinity to dent and scratch
Prior Damage: TCM is not responsible for any damage which occurs due to prior
damage, repairs, deflects, or any other weakness in the furniture itself.
Exterior Risks: Drive over the lawn, sidewalk, or other area not designed for truck
traffic. Doing so may cause ruts in the grass, cracking of concrete, loss of vegetation,
damage to underground sprinklers, drain fields, or other damage. TCM is not
responsible for any damage or towing charges which may result, whether foreseeable or
not.
Liability is limited to $100.00 for damage to floors, walls, doors, and painted surfaces.
Liability limit may be raised by written agreement of both parties prior to move.
TCM shall not be responsible for plants, flower pots or pets.
CONSUMER ADVISEMENT
Intrastate movers in Colorado are regulated by the Colorado public utilities commission
(PUC).
. You are encouraged to contact the PUC to confirm that the mover you are using is
indeed permitted in Colorado. HHG-00422
A mover that is not permitted may not withhold any of your property to enforce payment
of money due under the contract (“Carrier’s Lien”)
A mover must include its PUC permit number, true name, and physical (street) address
in all advertisements.
You should be aware that the total price of any household move can change, based on
a number of factors that may include, at least the following:
• Additional services you request at the time of the move;
• Additional items to be moved that were not included in the mover's original estimate;
• Changes to the location or accessibility of building entrances, at either end of the
move, that were not included in the mover's original estimate; and
• Changes to the previously agreed date of pickup or delivery.
You should also be aware that, in case of a dispute between you and the mover,
Colorado has an arbitration process available to resolve the dispute without going to
court.
