Preschool and Kindergarten go to Kenya International Fun Day is a yearly event during National Lutheran Schools Week and this year was no exception as the children in our preschool and kindergarten learned as the teachers took them on a tour of Kenya. Special guest Heather McKinley, from the Kenya Children’s Fund visited our school. She shared with the children about the area where our adopted sister, Alice lives. The children were a little troubled by the fact that Alice’s home is located in a dump. Heather also came dressed in traditional clothing from Kenya, wore a beautiful set of jewelry especially created for her by a friend in Kenya. The children also played with a masai doll and had a chance to taste ugali or corn meal mash. A grand time was enjoyed by all. Our Savior Lutheran School Laying the Foundation to Educate Minds and Inspire Faith 1 Our Savior Lutheran Church and School Calendar Change Please note two significant changes to the March Calendar. First, there is no Spring Musical as stated on the calendar. The Christmas Program took its place. Second, the K-8 teachers are attending the Lutheran Education Association’s National Teachers Convocation in Cincinnati, OH. March 23 is now a NON-SCHOOL DAY due to the fact that the teachers are now traveling by bus due to air fares being so outrageously high. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences these changes are causing you.
