Committed greenfields business land in the planning pipeline = 450 ha 2. Greenfields areas of investigation for additional business land = 1,400 ha (approx) 3. Total new business land in the Auckland Plan = 1,850 ha Maplesdon submission Suggested 2,500 ha over 30 years based on Manukau historical data Market Economics Research Recent decline (owing to GFC) and uptake to order of 20 ha / year – taken into account Recommendation 1. That at least 1,400 ha of new business land, in addition to the already committed 450 ha, be allowed for in areas of investigation noting that business land uptake will be monitored annually 2.
