I’m Lisa LaGrande, and I am the new school social worker on the child
study team for Memorial and Bowne-Munro. Some of my hobbies
include traveling, listening to music and podcasts, and learning new
things! I also work as an outpatient therapist in Trenton, NJ, which is
another passion of mine. This summer, I was fortunate enough to go
on a cross country road trip and visit numerous national parks. My goal
is to make a difference in the lives of children in need of support, and
I am so glad that I have the opportunity to do so in East Brunswick
Schools (which also happens to be my alma mater).
Hi, Bowne Munro Families! My name is Michael Vetrecin and I am one
of the Security Officers here in the afternoon. I am a retired
Corrections Officer from Middlesex County Correctional facility. I have
over 20 years’ experience in law enforcement. In addition, I am a big
football fan and I spend many Sundays cheering for my favorite team,
the NY Giants. I also enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, fishing
and reading. I am very happy to be joining the Bowne Munro family
this year and I look forward to a great school year with you all.

Hello Everyone! I’m very happy to be here at Bowne-Munro School this
year! My name is Mrs. Bortnick, and I’m the new Math Specialist. I came
from Hammarskjold, where I spent the last 8 years teaching 6th grade
math. Before that, I was a Math Specialist in a different district, and before
that, I was an elementary classroom teacher. I live here in East Brunswick
with my husband and two children. My son goes to East Brunswick High
School and my daughter is a student at Churchill Junior High School. I may
see you around town, so please always feel free to say hello! I’m excited
to share my love of math with all Bowne students this year!
Hola! My name is Señora Kosa and I am the 4th and 5th grade Spanish
teacher here at Bowne-Munro. I studied Spanish at Rutgers University and I
am currently working toward my Master's in the Arts of Teaching Spanish at
Rutgers as well. During my free time I love to travel. This past summer I
traveled along the east coast and visited Vermont, New Hampshire,
Connecticut and Maryland. My goal is to travel back to South America
one day so I can practice my Spanish even more. I look forward to bringing
Spanish back to 4th and 5th grade this year!

Buy your fall pumpkins at Clark's Farm during the month of October

POWER OF ONE ASSEMBLY
The Bowne-Munro PTA will be sponsoring an anti-bullying assembly
on October 20th. Continue the conversation at home so we can
keep Bowne-Munro a bully-free zone!
