For the Nike Paul Rodriguez V, Paul’s fifth signature model, the goal was two-fold: create a shoe that
provides superior cushioning to withstand high impact; and be both durable and skateable right out
of the box. Lunarlon cushioning, a long-time staple in Nike running shoes, was chosen to provide the
ultimate impact protection for skaters’ feet without adding extra bulk or weight. Additionally, a foot-forming sockliner was added for individualized comfort and support. TPU reinforced suede and a no-sew
construction ensures an extremely durable outer to help prevent blowouts, while the P-Rod specific
DiamondFLX tread makes for an immediately comfortable and functional shoe.
