Anne Frank – The People

Anne Frank – The People
The Annex hid the Franks from the world, but also hid the world from them. Their
only sources of news were the radio, and whatever those who helped them
thought it best to tell them.
Otto Frank secretly prepared the Annex hiding place for over a year. Despite that,
they moved into it very suddenly when Otto was called up. The van Pels joined
them one week later.
Roughly 5,000 of 107,000 Dutch Jews deported from 1942 through 1944 survived.
