Local veterans D.R. Caldwell, Jerry White, and
Ralph Rounds visited the 1st grade class to
present each student with a flag and talk about
flag etiquette.
THRIVENT CHOICE
Thrivent Financial members have until March 31,
2017, to direct any remaining 2016 Choice
Dollars. After that date, Choice Dollars will
expire. Starting on April 1, you can direct your

34th ANNUAL ZION HOG ROAST
The 34th Annual Zion Hog Roast will be held on
Sunday, March 19, at Zion Lutheran Church.
Serving will start at 4:30pm. The meal includes
BBQ pork and baked beans with Doug McCain’s
BBQ sauce, baked potato, chips, applesauce,
drinks, & desserts. Cost is free-will donation with
proceeds to Lutheran Care Center and Zion
Lutheran Church. BBQ Pork will be available for
purchase in bulk as well.
Tuesday, March 14, was Pi Day. Mrs.
Conner’s 5th-8th grade students worked on
linking as many digits of pi together as they
could. Each color represented a digit. They
have roughly 1600 digits that circled the room
2 1/2 times! Pictured are 8th grade students

PTL SCRIP
PTL is continuing to sell Scrip cards as an
ongoing fundraiser. Extra order forms are in the
school entrance. Some cards are kept on hand in
the school office. If you want to place an order,
return the order form with payment to the school
office every Friday or Sunday at church. Orders
will be back on the following Friday.
END OF SCHOOL DATES
The 8th grade graduation will be held at Immanuel
Lutheran church on Monday, May 15 at 7:00pm.
The last day of school will be on Thursday, May
18. There will be a closing chapel service at 9am
at Immanuel with awards afterwards in the gym.
There will be early dismissal at 11:15am.
