CONTEST RULES:
1. Categories of competition - each judged on distance: • manual powered
• machine powered • compressed air • high school students • youth (Scout troops)
2. No part of the machine shall cross the firing line.
3. Only 5 registered team members will be allowed in competition area.
4. Machines may be constructed of any material except explosives. NO EXPLOSIVES
may be used to power the catapults in any way. Presence of explosive materials will
result in immediate disqualification.
5. Best of 3 throws wins. Machines must be able to reload and fire within 10
minutes.
6. PUMPKINS MUST LEAVE MACHINE INTACT
7. Teams may have corporate sponsors and advertising on machines
8. All entrants must be at Crow River Winery by 1 p.m. on October 29 and ready to
launch at 3 p.m. You may however, begin setting up at 11 a.m.
9. Decision of judges is final. These rules are not inclusive.
10. Contestants must bring their own pumpkins.
11. Pumpkins must weigh between 6-10 lbs.
12. Enter at your own risk. PumpkinFest and Pumpkin Chuckin sponsors and organizers, while they make every attempt to ensure a safe environment,
are not liable for accidents or damage to individuals or property.
13. All contestants must wear helmets when firing.
14. Adults must accompany youth entrants at all times and be
present when firing
