Materials:
Pull the folded earshells from within the
headband. Extend headband stirrup arms to
maximum. Fit earshells over the ears against the
side of the head. Slide stirrups down until the
headband sits lightly on top of the head.
Ear Defenders
ABS cups
Polypropylene headband c/w steel inserts
Polycarbonate Arms c/w PVC tip covers
Open cell foam inserts
PVC covered, open cell foam pads
Limitations Of Use:
Protection will only be offered if the ear defender is fitted correctly. Ear pads may deteriorate with use and should be
examined at frequent intervals. The pads are available as a spare part. Do not apply paint, solvents, adhesives or
self-adhesive labels, except in accordance with instructions from the manufacturer. The ear pads, when in contact
with the skin may cause allergic reactions to susceptible individuals. If this occurs leave the hazard area, remove the
ear defender and seek medical advice.
Notes:
i. If the ear defender is to be worn for long periods the noise level must be reduced to 80dB. Before
selection of a suitable ear defender a noise survey should be carried out.
ii. Spectacle frames and hair between the ear pads and the head may affect the performance of the ear
defender.
iii. Hearing Protection should be used in accordance with the European Physical Agents (Noise) Directive
2003/10/EC
Cleaning & Maintenance:
The ear defenders may be cleaned with soap and warm water and dried with a soft cloth. The ear defenders should
not be cleaned with chemical or abrasive cleaners. Store out of direct sunlight, away from chemicals and not exposed
to extremes of temperature.
