Join us for this adventure to Homes County. We will start our day with a visit to Hershberger’s Farm & Bakery, to
not only enjoy the luscious aromas of freshly baked breads and goodies, but we will experience a nice variety
of farm animals up close. Next on our journey is Swartsentruber Quilts, an Amish based quilt shop, in addition
to viewing beautiful handcrafted quilts, you’ll have the opportunity to step inside a true Amish home. A
delicious included lunch prepared in the Dutch tradition will be enjoyed at Bowman’s Home Cooking. Then on
for a tour of Homestead Furniture, we will experience first- hand the craftsmen making the beautiful hardwood

You’ll depart Ohio this morning and travel by deluxe
motor coach to Pittsburgh. Upon arrival in the North Shore
neighborhood, board the River Quest for a narrated sightseeing
lunch cruise along the 3 rivers. Following the cruise, depart for
the Duquesne Incline to enjoy a ride on a century-old funicular,
one of the few left in the nation. Make sure to get your cameras
ready for one of the best city skyline views in the world! Next,
depart for the Oakland neighborhood, home to the University
of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. Walk through
the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning – the tallest
academic building in the Western Hemisphere! The Cathedral of
Learning Commons Room includes beautiful stone, wood, and
iron work. Cross the lawn for a docent-led tour at Heinz Chapel,
renowned for its beautiful stained glass windows with 391
identifiable people such as William Shakespeare and Florence
Nightingale. Then visit Posvar Hall to view the preserved home
plate of Pittsburgh’s Forbes Field and the collection of historic
sports photography. Following the tour, we depart for home,
arriving early this evening.
