UK AIRSOFT HAS BEEN ATTACKED
BY THE GUN TRADE ASSOCIATION
A new law, the Policing and Crime Bill
2015/16, will set a 1 Joule (330fps)
‘power limit’ at which barrelled devices
become air rifles.
The government made an exception for
airsoft, 1.3J for full auto (370fps) and 2.5J
(520fps) for semi-auto/single shot.
LORD SHREWSBURY,
PRESIDENT OF THE
GUN TRADE ASSOCIATION
This will allow us to keep legally
importing and owning airsoft replicas
so we can use them at the normal
350fps/500fps site limits.
HAS SUBMITTED AN AMENDMENT WHICH
WILL DELETE THE AIRSOFT EXCEPTION AND
LEAVE UK AIRSOFT LIMITED TO
1 JOULE FOREVER*
WHAT IS THE REAL THREAT TO AIRSOFT?
If found possessing or importing a
full-auto gun capable of more than 1 Joule
(330fps) you might face
5 years
in prison!
If Lord Shrewsbury’s amendment is successful,
it would be illegal to shoot a sniper rifle
at someone if it was over 1J
The proposed limit will affect over
60,000 players in the UK
ONLY A MASSIVE REACTION THIS WEEK FROM EVERYONE IN AIRSOFT CAN STOP
UK AIRSOFT FROM BEING CRIPPLED BY A 1 JOULE (330fps) LIMIT FOREVER.

Done those 3 basic actions above? Great. Now visit

there’s even more things that need to be done to
save the future of the hobby.
*Airsoft in Northern Ireland is already stuck on 1J legal limit but perhaps in
the future we can do something to bring it in line with the rest of the UK
