We are already into our third month of the year and like the rest of
Holyoke, we are preparing for one of the largest in the country’s St
Patrick’s Day Parade Sunday March 19. Again, this year, members from
our center will be marching Organizing the parade is Jennifer Payette our
Admission department has reported that we have almost 20 partners and
some of their families walking with the Holyoke HealthCare Center team.
Please feel free to cheer for us as we march by you on the parade route, or
look for us on WBGY TV.
In other news, our rear parking lot will be closed for up to three (3)
days Wednesday March 8th through Friday and 10th as a trench will be
dug through the parking lot. As a result, a new generator will be placed in
the garden area just on the other side of the fence in the early spring. If
you have any questions regarding the job, please feel free to visit with me.
Thank you all who participated in our Valentine Balloon sale. Over 50
purchases were made! Your contributions supported our Resident Council
raising $250.00.

Flu Season is still upon us. You
may be asked to put on a facemask
to protect others. Cover your
mouth and nose with a tissue when
you cough or sneeze. Put your used
tissue in the wastebasket. If you do
not have a tissue, cough or sneeze
into your upper sleeve of elbow not
your hands. Remember to wash
your hands frequently for at least
20 seconds.
Guinness Meatloaf
Ingredients:
~ 1 ½ lb Beef
~ Tsp Pepper
~ 2c Ground Canadian bacon
~ Tsp Italian Seasoning
~ 12oz Beer
~ Tbl Worstershire sauce
~ 1 Egg
~ (Adobo, Montreal Steak seasoning)
~ Tsp Salt
~ Bread Crumb (Panko Optional)

12oz Beer
Tbl Honey
½ cup brown sugar
Salt, pepper, Cinnamon to taste
Combine all ingredients to make meatloaf
Bake at 375 for 35-40 min (Note: Meatloaf will be moist)
In a sauce Pan Combine beer, honey, brown sugar, Spices and cook till mixture reduces
down to a thin sauce consistency. Brush meatloaf with sauce (sauce should have a hint of
sweetness). Let meatloaf rest, serve and enjoy!!
