Dear Friends,
„Luck favours the brave“ – there isn’t any saying in
my opinion that could be truer and better applicable
to times that are marked by a huge degree of
dynamics, uncertainty, and fundamental change.
Cloud, mobility, digitization of entire value chains,
Internet of Things etc. – all these buzzwords
stand for a ground-breaking transformation of our
economies that will re-shape the way we design,
innovate, produce, distribute and ultimately
live. Whether this transformation will hit us like
a tsunami or we will actively shape the future and create as many
opportunities for us as possible is rather our choice than our fate.
We’ll all need luck and braveness, indeed, to shape our future.
However, looking back at what we have achieved over the past
year as a group I am absolutely confident that we will all succeed
in this world of profound change. Even more so, we will actively
innovate on solutions that will help our customers not only to
survive but to be better off when working and innovating with us.
Looking back at our successes is all the more necessary and fruitful
as you can’t shape the future if you don’t stand on the solid ground
that you built in the past. But we as a group did so. We have a strong
foundation that puts us in a great position to reap the fruits of the
future. From a technological point of view we are at the forefront
of all developments: Whether it’s cloud-readiness, support for web
standards and the digital transformation, excellence in customer
experience etc. our technology stack is state-of-the-art and goes
even beyond in many respects.
But besides technology, what makes us really strong is the unity
that we have developed as a group and which we live as teams
in our daily business. Our customers can see that every day, they
understand that our success is their success. And I thank you all
for making this happen.

You all know that the next years will be very important for us
from a business point of view. The number of innovations we will
be introducing in the market are legion. Our brand-new cloud
solutions and frameworks will set us even further apart from our

Company Profile
Asseco Solutions, a.s. forms part of the multinational Asseco Solutions Group, the most
important producer of information systems
on the European market. The Group was
formed by grouping several entities within
the Asseco Group related to the production
of ERP systems. The particular companies
are based in central europe. The software
applications produced by the Group are also
distributed to other markets within Central
Europe. As well as development, the company‘s activities focus on implementing and
supporting specialized systems for companies of all sizes and from various fields.
The product portfolio ranges from information systems for the various type of companies active in production, trading to services.
Products include areas of public administration, products fulfilling specific needs of accommodation and catering facilities. All products are accompanied with a large range of
services and partnership programs. Except
the basic modules and functionalities, they
also provide solutions for particular business
industries, so-called specific industry solutions. Asseco Solutions is ISO 9001:2008

Main events in 2013
Asseco Solutions - new major player on the
European enterprise software market
Asseco Solutions integrates five of its most technologically
advanced ERP companies in Central Europe
Since July 2013, Asseco Germany and its Austrian and Swiss branch
and Asseco Solutions, a.s. have been acting under the joint name:
Asseco Solutions. The last aforesaid branch was focusing on ERP
software in the Czech Republic and Slovakia merged together With
more than 700 employees in 5 countries, the company has become
the biggest international player for business software in Europe and
center of Asseco Group for professional aspects of ERP in Central
Europe.
Customer Satisfaction Survey
Customer satisfaction with Asseco Solutions products survey
In May 2013, a survey was carried out between the Slovak customers
of Asseco Solutions focusing on evaluating the quality of supplied
products and services. Participation in the survey was open for all
active customers and on completing the survey, customers were
automatically entered into a draw for attractive prizes. 803 customers
took part in the survey and the results were more than satisfactory.
Overall, total satisfaction with system usage was 80-90 percent. The
most highly valued aspects involved the services provided, quality
and level of expertise of consultants.
Asseco Solutions in new premises
Petr Fulín, the
European Champion
As of 1 November 2013, after more than 10 years in the
Kramáre district of Bratislava, the whole headquarters of
Asseco Solutions moved to new premises at the Bratislava
Business Center V (BBC V) on Plynárenská 7/C in Bratislava.
The new premises boast a combination of modern and fresh
design, prestigious meeting rooms, offices, open space and
rest zones. We believe we succeeded in creating a pleasant
and creative workspace for work and hope it will be reflected
in the quality of our products and services.
On 6 October, the racing driver Petr Fulín, supported by our
company for the second year,
won the European Champion
title. He clinched the title in
the European Touring Car Cup
at the Masaryk Circuit in Brno,
Czech Republic.
Headquarters in Bratislava move to new premises

Partner of TEDxPrague 2013 conference
Between 24-27 January 2013, another year of the gastronomy and hotel industry took place at the Incheba
Exhibition Centre. This year’s event provided a compact offer in those areas and acted as a celebration
for all people with a professional or laic interest in these areas. Apart from pleasure, the fair introduced a
range of useful information for operators of hotels, restaurants, spas, various types of catering businesses
and shops. In an improvised hotel, we successfully presented our bluegastro restaurant system and HOREC
hotel system.
The 4th TEDxPrague conference took place on 25 May and Asseco
Solutions became the partner of this prestigious event. The topic
for this edition was „across the borders“. The theme of the lectures
focused on breaking borders, barriers, limits - internal as well as
external. Speakers included: Dan Siegel, American neuroscientist;
Nick Goldman, British bioinformatics scientist; Tomáš Tyc, physicist
from Brno and Hana Hnátová Lustigová, sister of famous Czech writer.

Certification of Asseco Solutions according to ISO
Recertification audit
A recertification audit took place in 2013. The aim of the audit was to audit all key processes in the company.
Asseco Solutions was awarded a new certificate by Bureau Veritas Slovakia in 2013, The first certification
took place as early as in 2004. The original certificate was successfully sustained each year since and we are
currently certified according to ISO 9001:2008. The certificate is valid until 13 October 2016.
HELIOS Red: 10,000 licenses sold
On 1 March, Ing. Martina Mošková, the CEO at the time, welcomed
the 10,000th customer of HELIOS Red system, Ing. Jaroslav Koukal,
to the Asseco Solutions headquarters in Prague and presented
him with a commemorative plaque. Mr. Koukal purchased the
license for the popular HELIOS Red system for small enterprises
and businesses in January, so he had about 6 weeks to familiarize
himself with the system. It helps to process accounting for selfemployed dentists.
Microsoft Gold Partner
In 2013, Asseco Germany and Asseco Austria
met all the criteria for certification yet again as
Microsoft Golden Partner, within the Microsoft
partner network, since its establishment in 2001
we recertified again.
Owing to our extensive know-how and continuous
commitment and performance, we proved yet
again that only a small number of Microsoft
partners around the world were able to meet the
required criteria. It serves as an example about how
important this status is and how much it highlights
the difference when it comes to quality from large
parts of the collateral market environment.
IT & Business 2013
APplus 6.0 – Simply More ERP
New version of award-winning business software (user-centric or convergent solution)
APplus, Version 6.0 has been on the market since May 2013, impressed with its project management
module, which significantly improved its functionality. Moreover, it offers flexible Linkplus technology- still
unique within the ERP sector – and a completely redone user graphic interface. The APplus, user-centric
solution also provides innovative multi-page technology enabling businesses to integrate and represent all
clients and companies within its organizational and company structure into the ERP system independently
on time and location. The innovative dashboard comprehensively summarizes relevant facts from large
amount of data within the company and processes them in individual graphic form based on the user´s
requirements, together with new display of full-text search results APplus by sections bring complex
package of features focused on the future to finish the work.
CeBIT 2013
Presentation of Asseco Solutions in Germany
The first presentation of Asseco Solutions in Germany took
place during the IT & Business Fair (Hall 3/Stand 3d01). With
the topic „The best ERP you could get“, Asseco Solutions
introduced APplus 6.0 and APplus Mobile ERP solutions as well
as innovative solutions for financial management (PIM, DMS
or BI). By merging the 5 most important companies in ERP in
July, with more than 700 employees the company became the
synonym for complex assurance of investment and cooperation
between nations - mainly when establishing the new outlook
trends, such as Industry 4.0 - and even better services due to
the closer proximity of local markets.

Successful presentation of APplus during live
comparison of ERP
At the ERP forum at this year‘s exhibition, we were
asked twice to participate in the predetermined live
scenario for professionals. On 6 and 7 March, GPS
companies - Gesellschaft zur Prüfung von Software
mbH in Ulm and Trovarit AG in Aachen, organized
a direct, real-time presentation of the three most
advanced ERP systems. APplus was highly rated by
the auditorium comprising responsible managers and
reputable business software professionals.

In future, the newly established Asseco
Solutions Group for ERP will be represented in
Switzerland by its branch, to increase visibility,
penetrate the market and bring it closer to the
company‘s customers. For Swiss customers, a
large local team is available offering the whole
range of services of the business specialist
with international coverage. The software can
therefore fully meet the expectations of Swiss
companies which will profit from the local
professional support.
Since the very first certification in 2006 and
in 2013, we were successfully recertified
according to ISO 9001:2008. Yet again, we
achieved this evaluation according to the
important quality management standard.

Asseco Solutions is a producer of complex IT solutions for the private as well as public sector.
It specializes in development, delivery and support of enterprise information systems, hotel and
restaurant systems as well as custom-made solutions included related services.

In 2013, Asseco Solutions continued to expand the already extensive functionality
of its products.
Investment in the new generation of IS Spin, known as Spin2, introduced Spin to new
customer segments and established its place among other Spin users.
Great attention was paid to supporting mobile worker activities by expanding integration
interfaces for such systems.
At the same time, in 2013, a major investment was made to introduce the latest range of
cloud solution products. The areas of interest as part of developing such systems primarily
involved the areas of design and information system control ergonomics as well as new
functionalities designed to make using Asseco Solutions information systems, a.s. even
more comfortable in day-to-day work for its users.

A dynamic traditional company, whose history dates back to 1996. They are
an important alarm system supplier. The company’s alarms are installed by
hundreds of assembly workers. They are used by tens of thousands of satisfied
customers.
The company brings new solutions to ensure better protection of property and
health for its customers; they make installation and daily use much easier and
increase user comfort.

is a network of stylish pizzerias with a large selection of original Italian meals.

REDOX, s.r.o. Lučenec
is the biggest supplier of municipal machinery for towns, villages and
companies handling communal and separated waste in Slovakia. The company
places emphasis on complex supply of machinery for collection, separation,
valuation and disposal of communal waste. As well as sale, the company also
provides services and general repairs of all types of bodywork, and all makes
of compactors. As the only company in Slovakia to do so, they rent vehicles
for waste collection for timeframes ranging from 1 day to 12 months. Their

K-13 - The Cultural Centres of Košice
K13 - The Cultural Centres of Košice was set up by the city of Košice on 1
October 2013. The main scope of activity is management of city assets,
organizing programs, exhibitions, festivals, theatre performances and film
showings, concerts, cultural and educational social events in the field of culture
and tourism, in Slovakia and abroad, education, education and improvement of
physical activities, scientific and technical services and IT services, coordination,
provision of conditions for organizing and cooperation with other institutions in
Slovakia as well as abroad.
