Our newly structured Camp Haverim will not disappoint! Each week, campers
will enjoy participating in a variety of activities focused around specific Judiac
and secular themes. Campers are split into groups by age allowing them to fill
their days with exciting age appropriate activities and challenging opportunities
to discover new interests, develop new skills, and explore their surroundings. The
day starts outside on the fields with a morning huddle to hear news and activities,
and to set the tone for the day.
Weekly schedules allow children to rotate through a variety of activities,
including the specialties many have grown to love. Electives will be offered each
day for campers who have a stronger focus on a specific interest, with the number
of elective periods increasing by age. Campers will participate in swim lessons
daily, and the opportunity to choose free swim for one of their electives. Each
week a special visitor will be on site to conduct lessons and activities based on
that theme. Some examples include Mad Science, the Zoo-mobile, Ponies to Go,
and a representative from the US Army. We will also go on weekly field trips.
Campers will make challah for Shabbat every Friday and will bring home a
weekly parent letter outlining all the fun they had, and a glimpse of the week to
come. Weekly activities will include gymnastics with Aim High Academy, drama
with Wensday Greenbaum, tennis, Animal Adventures with RISPCA, pottery,
cooking with Chef G and others, science, art, sports, nature with our Israeli
Shaliach who specializes in the environment, team games, electives and more!
