Tips for Reading the Diagrams Diagram Key Winged bar jump Following are some tips to help you interpret the diagrams in Clean Run magazine: Nonwinged bar jump • For any sequence or course, shown at any size, one square in the diagram always represents 10'. 1 Winged one-bar jump 1 Nonwinged one-bar jump • As on an actual agility course, numbers in the diagrams are always placed on the side of the obstacle it's taken from. Broad/long jump • Many exercise setups have several sequences for you to try, so you will often see different colored numbers on the same diagram. The numbers in the white circles represent one possible sequence, the numbers in the black circles another sequence, and so on. Nonwinged double-bar jump • In some articles, the handler and dog icons are color coded to show how the handler and dog would be positioned relative to each other at a given moment on course. For example, a green handler shows the handler location corresponding to the green dog’s position on course. It is impossible to depict precise relationships between the dog and handler with complete accuracy in a two-dimensional image. The diagrams are intended to convey the concepts presented in the text.
