AMR handout Automated Meter Reading (AMR) gives you control of your gas consumption by providing accurate data & meter readings that can be viewed online. Total have installed over 11,500 AMR data loggers across the UK and our vast experience and expertise means Total Gas & Power are able to deliver a high quality data service & efficient operational processes. LAS04 Gas AMR Service Levels Total Offer To LASER Customers Our customer’s gas AMR data is available online via our web Portal; this displays graphical illustrations of consumption (in kWh) via bar charts & line graphs and, for data service levels (Gold, Platinum) includes daily meter readings. Data can also be shown in numerical kWh tables. How long does it take to install? We aim to commence installation within 25 working days of receiving a signed contract & site contact details. The below charges are pro-rata on a monthly basis. Can I use the data in my own systems? Via the web portal, data can be extracted quickly and easily. The data is exported from the portal in excel/csv file format. What happens if I change supplier? Total only provide AMR data to Total gas customers. If/when you leave Total gas supply there is no charge & the logger can be removed at your request or utilised by the new supplier if they choose. All data recorded by the loggers up to the last day of Total supply is available indefinitely, at no cost. Costs: Monthly Read Meters (Meters that consume ≥292,000 kWh per annum) Platinum service Half hourly data (D+1) & daily meter reads – 26 pence per day, equivalent to £94.23 per meter/year Gold service Hourly data (D+7) & daily meter reads - 17 pence per day, equivalent to £62.82 per meter/year Bronze service 2 monthly consumption reads per month - 15th & 1st of each month – Free The Bronze service is provided completely free of charge for Monthly Read meters (meters that consume ≥292,000kWh per annum). Two consumption reads per month are recorded by the AMR device; on the 15th & 1st of each month. The recorded data is also used in Total’s invoicing software. Upon installation, customers may upgrade to another data service level (e.g. Platinum) at anytime in the future, if required. If the Bronze service is upgraded, standard payment terms would then apply (as per the service level charges).’ Non-Monthly Read Meters (Meters that consume <292,000 kWh per annum) Bronze service - 2 monthly consumption reads per month – reads are taken on the 15th & 1st of each month. Cost to LASER Customers: 25 pence per day, equivalent to £91.71 per meter/year; this includes unlimited access to the web portal. These costs include all installation & data provision. Total AMR customers can upgrade or downgrade services (e.g. Bronze up to Platinum & vice versa). The charges are included in the monthly invoice and appear as ‘AMR Standing Charge’ £xx.xx. Gas AMR Contract Terms and Duration If the gas supply contract moves away from Total Gas and Power (TGP), the AMR device(s) will remain connected to the gas meter as it is not owned by TGP, but by our installers. Consequently customers can negotiate with the new gas supplier to commence a new AMR contract using the AMR devices connected to the meter. If the new supplier does not wish to utilise the installed device(s), they may wish to install their own equipment. LASER Customers with AMR Already Installed Where a customer has had AMR installed by OnStream, TGP are able to utilize these AMR devices. We can collect and upload the recorded data to our secure AMR web portal. The web portal can be securely accessed 24/7 to view your AMR data. If you have had AMR installed by another provider for example Stark, you will need to submit a monthly AMR reading on or before the 1st working day of each month. These readings should be sent to [email protected] and must be in the below specified format. For further information on the above, please email [email protected]. Platinum service – Consumption is recorded every half an hour and the data is transmitted to our secure web portal each day; Data is recorded in line with the standard gas day; 6am-6am. This service also includes daily meter readings; Cost to LASER Customers: 51 pence per day, equivalent to £185.94 per meter/year; this includes unlimited access to the web portal. Gold service – Consumption is recorded every hour and is transmitted to our secure web portal once every 7days. Data is recorded in line with the standard gas day; 6am-6am. This service also includes daily meter readings; Cost to LASER Customers: - 42 pence per day, equivalent to £154.53 per meter/year; this includes unlimited access to the web portal.
