Thomas Gray Mr. Thomas Gray is a certified turnaround professional with expertise in workouts, restructurings, and corporate renewals. Mr. Gray has over 30 years of experience serving as a successful board member, interim CEO, executive, line operations manager, entrepreneur and management consultant to large and small businesses located in the US and Europe. Mr. Gray has experience working in the telecom, aviation manufacturing and consulting industries. Serving as an Executive Consultant for MainStream, Mr. Gray’s core competencies include providing restructuring and bankruptcy advisory services to small businesses and driving performance improvement. Mr. Gray is a generalist who has been involved in general management, strategy, operations, customer service, marketing, governance, startups, turnarounds and growth services. Representative examples of Mr. Gray’s work include serving as the Interim President for a 24,000 line independent telephone company that offers voice, internet and video services. Mr. Gray was initially hired as an Interim CFO where he was responsible for assessing the company’s challenges (market, network, IT, finance, personnel), as well as developing the vision, strategy and annual vision plan. Mr. Gray successfully implemented a “Management System,” which included objectives, project plans, metrics and incentive compensation. Mr. Gray was promoted to be the permanent CEO, where he completed a 10-K form and conducted annual shareholder meetings. Mr. Gray served as an Interim Managing Director where he was responsible for strategy and day to day leadership. He assessed a turnaround opportunity for a manufacturer of single engine, four seat aluminum airplanes. Mr. Gray developed a vision, strategy, business plan, and obtained funding. Mr. Gray’s leadership led sales and production to more than double within two years. Other recent engagements of Mr. Gray include serving as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Ameritech International (currently known as AT&T Teleholdings, Inc.), where he was responsible for identifying and accessing telecom investment opportunities as well as leading due diligence and deal teams. As part of the Company’s investment analysis, Mr. Gray evaluated and designed a business plan for performance improvement. Mr. Gray has two publications; one of his articles, “Trend: Funds Buying Telcos Seek New Management Team,” was published by Business Week.
