EXCRETORY SYSTEM Julia Fine and Neha Ghias SO WHAT EVEN IS THE EXCRETOR SYSTEM e excretory system is the body system in charge of releasing waste from the ody. This discharge of waste plays a main part in making sure your body is in constant state of homeostasis. This system contains the following gans: lungs, kidneys, urinary bladder, ureter, urethra, liver and skin. ORGANS INVOLVED his system contains the following organs: lungs, kidneys, urinary adder, ureter, urethra, liver and skin. UNGS e lungs participate in the xcretory system by xpelling CO2 from the body. IDNEYS e kidneys filter toxins out of e blood and excrete it into e bladder. RINARY LADDER ollects urine and sends it out the body through the ethra. urinary bladder RETER opel urine from the kidneys to e urinary bladder. RETHRA rries urine from the urinary bladder t of the body. urethra VER eaks down complex toxins in the dy and create bile. KIN crete sweat to maintain a constant dy temperature. INTERACTION WITH THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM ood is circulated through kidneys and toxins are filtered out. From the dneys, toxins are sent to the urinary bladder to be expelled from the body. FUN FACT: BLOOD CIRCULATES THEROUGH THE KIDNEYS 300 TIMES A DAY INTERACTION WITH TH ENDOCRINE SYSTEM e Endocrine System releases hormones that make kidneys increase or ecrease water absorption. This impacts the amount of urine produced. FUN FACT: HUMANS PEE 5-10 TIMES PER DAY DISEASES O THE EXRETORY SYSTEM KIDNEY FAILURE condition in which the kidneys lose e ability to remove waste and alance fluids. There are five different pes of kidney ilure, including Chronic Intrinsic dney Failure. FUN FACT: KIDNEY STONES CAN GROW TO BE THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS. BLADDER CANCER Cancer that begins in the bladder. Bladder cancer begins mos often in the cells that line the inside o the bladder. Bladder cancer typica affects older adults, though it can occur at any age. IMPACTS OF ENVIRONMENTA FACTOR LEAD IN WATER auses harm by overworking the dneys. When an excess of lead is esent in what the body consumes water), the kidneys have to put in xtra effort to filter it out. SMOKE IN AIR Causes harm by clogging pores in the skin. This triggers a reduction in th amount of sweat being released which endangers the body's homeostasis. WORKS CITED our Interactive Guide to Human Anatomy. (n.d.).
