“Get Hooked” Crochet Rug, Etc. (Learn to Crochet)

Purchase the pattern, Get Hooked by Grizzly Gulch Gallery. It comes with a crochet hook. Decide which
project you will make. If you have never crocheted before, choose the rectangular rug, style 1. For the
rug, cut at least three yards of scraps into strips. The rugs in the pattern use about 8 yards of fabric each
Read the Overview on page 1 and steps 1-3 under Preparation. (My rug samples use 2 ½" strips, 2” strips
make somewhat thinner rug and smaller.) Do not sew strips together. I will demo cutting rug strips in
class and bring my cutting templates, so you can cut some in class if you wish. Fat quarters are not really
great for these projects.
Note: Ask if the shop offers a cutting service for your strips.
