Abstract - UAE has set a power generation target of 7 percent by 2020 from clean energy with ambitious
solar energy deployment goals. This is in accordance with the country’s vision towards diversification of
energy supply and to ensure energy security. The solar energy potential, the solar market developments,
analysis of solar parks and trade status in UAE has been reviewed. Furthermore, the economic policy
framework and initiatives to promote solar energy in the country has been discussed. The paper highlights
the range of potential impacts for utility–scale projects which includes land and habitat loss, water loss,
visual issues and aircraft interference. The carbon savings from the proposed 350 MW Solar Plant in Abu
Dhabi has been calculated as 393. 5 tonnes of carbon equivalent. Despite the recent achievements of the
country in the solar sector there are several challenges in the exploitation of resource. The review will
help stakeholders and decision makers to understand the current status for better planning in order to
adopt and develop solar based technologies.

Abstract— This paper would be considered as a practical guideline to show how the effective
management of work place design & Methods in fashion industry could achieve a considerable return on
investment with minimum cost. A case study has been presented to explain how sewing operation
improvement strategy was realized through a simple systematic management approach using the best
combination of tools and ideas that gives the biggest improvement ‘impact with lowest investment on the
productivity of the sewing room.
A sewing operation has been selected, Analyzed and different approaches have been applied to optimize
the productivity of this operation, and the final impacts on the operation cost have been also measured and
presented. The results showed a remarkable reduction in the time invested to execute the operation,
consequently a reduction in the cost of the operation. The experiment has shown a remarkable saving in
the operation examined and approved that the return of the invested money could be amortized in a
limited time.
This case study would be considered as a scientific guideline for the implementation of such a
methodology with a systematic modern approach using explanatory tables and sketches.

Abstract - The seismic vulnerability of an urban area is of a great deal for the local authorities especially
those facing earthquakes. So, it is important to have an efficient tool to assess the vulnerability of existing
buildings. Blida is located in the north part of Algeria, classified zone III, an area with high vulnerability
to seismic hazard according to the Algerian Seismic Code. As several destructive earthquakes had already
shaken the city in the past, particular attention should be made to protect it from such hazard. Indeed,
seismic disaster scenarios of the city have been investigated using the RAIUS method (Risk Assessment
Tools for Diagnosis of Urban Areas against Seismic Disaster). The analysis is considering both, the
geological aspects of the land and the structural aspects of the urban system. We have also used the
vulnerability index method to assess the vulnerability of Blida. The geographical information system
(GIS) has been used to build a data base in order to perform different thematic analyses. The results of
both methods highlighted the high vulnerability of Blida and allowed us to identify the most vulnerable
districts.

ABSTRACT - We aim, hereby to assess the seismic vulnerability of Tipaza (Algeria). Therefore, we
divided our study into two main parts: the first part was carried-out in the field in which we collected the
most relevant information of the buildings, water supply and roads networks. In the second one, we
counted vulnerability index of every building and every buried pipe using Vulnerability Index Method
(VI).
We used Geographic Information System (GIS) to create a database to enable various thematic analyses.
These analyses drew attention to the buildings and to the water supply network vulnerability in Tipaza.

Abstract -In the recent time periods, and with the development of construction industry increased reliance
on the use of composite reinforced concrete elements. Among the most famous applications was
composite pre-slab used extensively in the different constructions as bridges and buildings. Where it has
several benefits such as a pre cast concrete layer can serves as skeleton or form for the cast in place
concrete layer, and also to strengthening an existing slab. This research work was conducted to study
experimental and theoretical of one-way composite pre-slabs behavior for many specimens have a
different interface positions with two alternative concrete compressive strengths and different shapes of
shear connector. Fourteen medium scale sections, all specimens with overall dimensions of slabs
105cm*83cm with thickness 12cm were simply supported and tested under the effect of uniform
distributed load. The pre-slabs composed of two concrete layers represent in four groups G1, G2, G3 and
G4 over and above two monolithic control specimens. The concrete compressive strengths
were 38 and 60 MPa and the thicknesses of bottom slab were 4 and 6 cm. The general deformational
behavior of the tested slabs was examined and reported (cracking, crack propagation patterns,
deformations, strains of concrete and steel). It was concluded from these experiments that changing in
shear connectors shape led to increase horizontal shear capacity. Also, the interface position had a
pronounced effect on the horizontal shear capacity of the composite pre-slab.

Abstract- This paper describes an efficient use of the GPU to accelerate iterative methods. Last decade
the use of the GPU wasn't only for games or 3D animations, it has been shown in literature and in our
recent paper that the GPU is good for accelerating iterative methodes which are used to solve linear
problems such as medical images reconstruction. The efficient way to use the GPU to accelerate iterative
methods depends on how would we parallelize our method and on which architecture ( may be using
CUDA or an heterogenous plateform with OpenCL). For exemple when we want parallelize our method
on a cluster using CUDA, we have to think about how much power will be spent and how much will be
the price; but when we want to parallelize our method on the GPU it is less expensive and spent lower
power compared with the cluster. The big challenge is how to use the GPU to get a compromise between
power, price and quality this is the aim of our present paper.

Abstract - The strategic planning of urban development in the provinces suffer from the lack of an
appropriate mechanism meets the requirements of national development (NDP), especially as the modern
tendencies toward decentralization and good governance. From here starts search to identify a proposed
