Recycle Your Christmas Tree
Bring your tree to the Miami-Dade Department of
Waste Management Recycling Tree Center located: 1830 NW 79th St. DO NOT put your Christmas
Trees in the trash room or the trash bin. World
Waste will not empty the trash if they see Christmas Trees in there.

hear beeping, that means

Peanutty Good!
National Peanut Butter
Day is celebrated
this year on January
24th. To celebrate, we
have some wonderful
peanutty
recipes.
Enjoy!
Continue to process until the desired
consistency is obtained. If necessary,
stop machine and scrape sides of
container with a spatula. For crunchy
peanut butter, stir in 1/2 cup chopped
roasted peanuts after the processing is
completed. Yields 1 cup creamy or 11/2 cups crunchy peanut butter. Store
in a tightly closed container in the
refrigerator. Oil may rise to the top. If
this occurs, stir before using.
Food Processor Peanut Butter
• 2 cups roasted shelled peanuts
• 1 tablespoon peanut oil
• 1/2 teaspoon salt (omit if salted
Honey Peanut Butter Popcorn
peanuts are used)
• 2 quarts popped popcorn
Using the metal blade, process • 1/2 cup sugar
ingredients continuously for 2 to 3 • 1/2 cup honey
minutes. The ground peanuts will form • 1/2 cup peanut butter
a ball which will slowly disappear. • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

pressing the case of civil rights with
President John Kennedy. At 34, he
galvanized the nation with his “I Have
a Dream” speech. At 35, he won the
Nobel Peace Prize. At 39 he was assassinated, but he left a legacy of hope
and inspiration that continues today.

Cook honey and sugar to a roiling boil.
Remove from heat and add peanut
butter and vanilla. Pour over popcorn,
stir to coat. Can be eaten hot or cold.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Dip
• 1 3-oz. package cream cheese,
softened
• 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
• 2 tablespoons milk
Beat the cream cheese, peanut butter
and cinnamon with an electric mixer
until smooth. Gradually beat in the
chocolate syrup and milk. Serve with
fruit, cookies and/or pretzels.
