Multiplication Madness Game

Multiplication Madness Game
Designed to meet these objectives:
Math
• Students will perform operations to solve problems.
• Students will use multiplication to solve problems.
Strengthen students’ multiplication skills with this fun dice game! As
students race to complete equations, they get valuable practice solving
problems with multiplication. Great for a math center or for small
groups, this is a game students will want to play again and again!
Getting Started
The object of the game is to correctly build multiplication equations.
Players roll 4 dice. If any of the numbers can be used as factors in a
multiplication problem on their mat, they write them in the correct
space. If not, the next player takes a turn. The first person to complete
all 10 equations on his or her mat wins.
Meeting Individual Needs
ELL
Have students work with a partner. Prompt students to practice using
the die to solve equations on their own. Have children roll two dice and
multiply the numbers together.
Reteach/Extra Support
Encourage students to practice solving multiplication equations. Have
students draw out the problem if they need help. Also, you can place
multiplication problems on cards for students to solve. Cards can be
placed on a ring in the math center.
Challenge
Have students write 3-4 word problems that involve multiplication. Pair
students with a partner to solve each other’s word problems.
