Introduction to our new Home - School Coordinator
Hello to you all. My name is Miss Shipley and I am
your new Home School Coordinator.
Parent concerns

Another part of my role is to help you with any
issues you might need help with or if you just want
to talk!

Friday If you think you might qualify for free school meals
but don’t know how to go about it, I can help.
If you need advice on claiming the right benefits, I
can help or I can put you in touch with someone who
will help you.
Ask me anything - if I don’t know the answer, I’ll
find someone who does!

I will be on the playground before and after school
on those days so please come and say hello.
If you want to make a separate time to speak to me
then either catch me in the playground or phone the
office and ask for me.
Tea and Cake morning
I am going to have a ‘tea and cake’ morning on
Wednesday 7 October at 9am and would really like
to meet as many parents as possible just for a chat.
Home School Coordinator
I am here for parents to talk to if you have any
concerns about your children.
It could be they are upset or worried about
something (in school or out of school) and you’d like
to talk about it. Just get in touch and I will see if I can
help
‘Help’ Assistant
I have been introduced to the children as their ‘Help
Assistant’. I am in school for the children to talk to
me about anything that is worrying them, whether it is
something in school such as friendship issues or
something outside of school.
Attendance
School expects all children to have at least 95%
attendance.
I will be contacting parents to offer support where
children fall below this threshold. I realise there are
many reasons why children have time off school and
want to support our families to make sure the
children are at school regularly and on time to get the
best out of the opportunities school offers.
