Boxes will be available at the church starting October 14. A change this year due to some international restrictions - NO CANDY and NO TOOTHPASTE. This is a transition year so please spread the word - the restrictions will be strictly adhered to in 2017. Problems have occurred with countries denying full crates of shoeboxes because one might contain expired candy or toothpaste. You can check online for those items allowed this year; but, the best way to be sure is to just not put any in your shoebox. Mars Hill will again be a relay station for the boxes during National Collection Week - November 14-21 If you would like to help, please contact Gwen Bowles at 434-9890981 or [email protected]. The children will be collecting food during worship for The Lord’s Harvest and Neighbors in Need through the month of October. Please bring canned foods to help those in need! DO YOU TEXT? Here in the church office it is our goal to help YOU stay informed about what is going on here at the church! As technology continues to evolve, we are aware that some of you may prefer to receive short texts about an upcoming event rather than an email. If you would like to begin receiving texts from the church office, please text your request to 828/776-6099 (this is Sharon Welsch’s cell phone). We will gather this information and begin as soon as possible sending out texts reminders. (You would receive no more than two texts per week!) We are striving to keep our congregation in the know and as up to date as possible here at Mars Hill Baptist Church!
