Camp – to me, the word tends
to invoke an extreme amount of
excitement, especially at the
end of January! Just the thought
of 200 juniors running all over
Cowboy Town, playing in activities such as Monster Basketball, the Frog Race, the Pool
Rodeo, and Chicken Noodle
Soup, and filling the auditorium
with heart-felt songs gets
my blood going! Camp
may seem light-years
away; but really, it is just
around the corner.
I ’ m
thoroughly
thrilled because
this
summer
will be the fifth
annual BRCA Summer Camp Trip! Each
year we take a good
number of our 3rd
(incoming) – 6th graders,
and each year it seems to
get better and better. You
see this year – like every year –
will be full of new surprises.
Inside This Issue:

There will be new campers,
counselors, adventures, and activities. Activities will include
Battleball, a Western Rodeo,
Sponge Wars, Pentathlon, Cowboys & Indians, A.I.M, the
Pioneer Scavenger Hunt,
Water Bombs, and many
more. Since many of our
students have already been
campers at the Ranch, they
will enjoy it even more and
will be able to help the
new ones throughout
the
f u n- filled
week.
O u r
week is July 24-29. Mark it
down and circle it! This year
we have twenty-seven BRCA
students who are old
enough to come, and
you can even bring as
many friends as you
would like! Again this summer,
we will all wear our BRCA tshirts and have our own counselors – Pastor Denny Patterson
(Joshua’s dad) and Miss Stover.
Having all our group in our own
cabins is a real advantage because it helps build friendships
and student body unity, which
definitely spills over into the
fall. And the best part about this
summer will be the decisions
made after hearing the clear and
specific preaching from the Bible.
I hope all our 2nd-6th
graders will have the opportunity to join our group this summer at the Ranch. We will be
giving out more information
later including how to take advantage of the BRCA discount
(a $40 savings). You can sign
me up! How about you?

The tragic events that took place on
September 11, 2001, will never
escape our memory. Many people
were in disarray and searching for
answers in the aftermath of that
horrible day. Just four months later,
the Bill Rice Ranch took a missions
trip to the Big Apple. Every
January, we sponsor this missions
trip in which hundreds have been
saved in the nine trips we have
made.
Last month we set up
three “Prayer Stations” in the
subways of midtown Manhattan
and Brooklyn. For two-and-a-half
days, several Ranch staff and other
friends from around the country go
out 30-50 feet
from
our
s t a t i o n
passing out
literature
that
both
promotes the
prayer station
and gives the
plan
of
salvation on
the
back.
The rest of our
workers stay at the station and pray
with people as they stop by. The
people request prayer about finances,
family, health, a job, etc. After
praying with them, we show them
how they can know they have a
home in heaven by accepting Jesus
Christ as their Savior.
On our trip last month, we
saw 63 people saved, 2 get
assurance of their salvation, and
over 23,000 pieces of literature
handed out in 8 different
languages. What a rewarding
trip, and just another way the
Ranch helps people from the
Bible!

The Bill Rice Ranch is truly
a nationwide ministry. For
over twenty years, we have
held camps and conferences
in the western U.S. through
West Branch. First located
in cool Flagstaff, Arizona
(7000 feet
e l ev at ion ) ,
West Branch
held summer
camps and
seasonal retreats
just
like we do
here in Murfreesboro. These events took
place for fifteen years.
Campers traveled regularly
from as far away as 900
miles to attend our summer
c
a
m
p
s
.

The miraculous beginning of West Branch occurred when God gave us a
piece property to get started
in the West. However, because this property was limited in size and had issues
with age and the
surrounding community, we immediately began pursuing a more permanent location.
In the late 1990s,
we purchased 155
acres near Williams, Arizona, the
"Gateway to the Grand Canyon." As development began in Williams, camps continued thirty-five miles east
in Flagstaff. In 2004 the
Lord allowed us to sell the
Flagstaff property and focus
on
the
new site.
With water and sanitation
infrastructure issues
(common in the West) now
being solved, we are moving
forward to develop this new
property.
In the meantime, we
established “West Branch
on the Move” as our primary avenue of ministry.
We travel to areas around
the West and conduct conferences for teenagers, men,
ladies, families, and the
Deaf. We plan to continue
this ministry even after summer camps start up again on
the new site in a few years.

Gordon Food Service’s Fun Funds
fundraising program was a great
success last year. The main idea of
the program is that anyone who already shops at GFS can help raise
money for our school without doing
anything differently. All you need to
do is send in the postcard. GFS will
send you a hard, plastic shopping
card (this may take several weeks);
and just show the clerk your card
upon check-out to help raise
funds for BRCA! It’s really
quite simple! Even if you
know of someone who shops at
GFS that does not have children
at BRCA (e.g., grandparents,
friends, etc.), they can get
a card and begin
helping. All the
funds will be deposited in our fund-
raiser fund that is used for
school projects to make
BRCA a better experience for everyone.
Last year we collected
over $500! Every little
bit helps towards our fundraising goals. Thank you for
your help and support.
